eSie Left Heart™ Measure Package 5.1 software release - USA

This online course (OLC) will help the clinician, sonographer, radiographer, nurse, or student understand eSie Left Heart™ Measure Package workflow featuring ejection fraction for both the left ventricle as well as left atrium, utilizing the “one click” method.
uccessful completion of this training is eligible for American Society of Radiology Technician (ASRT) Category A continuing education units (CEU).

Congratulations! You have completed the eSie Left Heart™ Measure Package course. This course covered the use of the eSie Left Heart package with for both EF and ES/ED Volumes for both the LV and LA.  Listed below are the key points presented in this course. Take time to review the material.   Download Course Review:   In this course you have learned to:   Comprehend how to activate the eSie Left Heart™ Measure Package for quick ejection fraction and volume data for both the left ventricle as well as left atrium.   Identify the technology behind this feature.   Gained expertise to implement Edit when needed. Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:   Comprehend how to activate the eSie Left Heart™ Measure Package for quick ejection fraction, and volume data for both the left ventricle as well as left atrium   Identify the technology behind this feature Implement Edit when needed Within this section we will review eSie Left Heart™ (LH) Measure Package for LH ejection fraction (EF), end diastolic (ED) volume (EDV) and end systolic (ES) volume (ESV) for both the left ventricle (LV) as well as the left atrium (LA). We will briefly review some of the technology that drives the “one click” results.  It has been noted that there can be a wide range of user measurement variability and results, within an imaging department. Many different methods of measurements can be employed; such as measuring leading edge to leading edge, mid edge to mid edge, and other techniques.  Using an Artificial Intelligence powered algorithm, (AI-Powered) eSie Left Heart package can standardize measurement results. Technology Technology behind eSie Measure Package Tab TitleTextMeasurements Available With the use of the eSie Left Heart package quick and accurate Left Heart measurements are available for both Adult Echo and Pediatric Echo packages.     eSie Left Heart package is available for Adult transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE), Pediatric echocardiogram and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) applications.  The eSie LH package can be used on both apical 4 chamber (4CH) as well as apical 2 chamber (2CH) views to derive bi-plane results. Currently the calculations obtained: For the LV: EF, EDV, ESV   For the LA: EF, EDV, ESV Benefits The use of eSie Left Heart package can bring many benefits to the department. Some of these are: Standardizing measurement results and reproducibility   Streamlining workflow by reducing users interaction time with the images   Lowers measurement variability and simplifies complicated tasks eSie Access™ Measurement Interface The “one click” calculation list is displayed utilizing eSie Access™ interface. The eSie Access interface presents the user with the correct measurement list as per mode in use.   This allows the “single click” measurement method.  The eSie Access also displays the calculation list on the right side of the screen to show measurements made, as well in the results box on the image. If any of the measurements or caliper points are edited, re-positioned or deleted; the results will be updated and instantaneously displayed in the calculation list to show the new results.   Tip:  To standardize measurements within a department, it is suggested to resist moving the caliper points or tracings unless they are obviously placed incorrectly.  Misplaced calipers or tracings can occur when sub-optimal images are measured and there is not enough pixel information for automatic placement. The configuration around the trackball provides an ergonomic design. The Controls and Soft Keys conveniently placed around the trackball are referred to as the home position.  Working in the home position minimizes hand movements and reaching, allowing the user to quickly navigate through each task. This same configuration of trackball, Controls and Soft Keys located on the control panel are mirrored as icons on the bottom of the image. The user can either activate the appropriate Control or Soft Key on the control panel; or use the active pointer and trackball to choose the associated icons on the bottom of the image by pointing to the icon with the active arrow and pressing the Select control. Letting the user choose the method of measuring, allows a freedom of using the workflow best suited for that user. Press Select to choose this eSie Left Heart package.  The Left Heart measurements are performed automatically.  The calculation list will be displayed on the right side of the screen to show measurements made and also displayed on the image. For easy identification, the LV results are displayed in white and the LA results are displayed in yellow. The tracing is still active and the user can use the active arrow to move into the ED or ES image to edit the tracing if needed. As the active arrow approaches the trace line to be edited, the line will change to red in color.  The further away from the trace line, the larger the area can be edited.  Inversely, the closer the arrow is positioned to the red trace line the smaller the area is to be edited.  Once the user chooses the optimal amount of tracing to be edited, press the Select control.  Use the trackball to reposition red highlighted trace area, Press Select to set trace. After all edits are competed press Select control again to complete measurements and send to the report. Process can be repeated for the apical 2CH position LH Example Example of eSie Left Heart Package Instructions:Flash File:HTML5 File:/content/generator/Course_90022330/ESIE LH.mp4PDF File: Explore the links below for the Glossary, References, and Further Reading opportunities.
