Many different methods of measurements can be employed; such as measuring leading edge to leading edge, mid edge to mid edge, and other techniques.  The use of Artificial Intelligence Powered algorithms, (AI-Powered) and the eSie measure packages can standardize measurement results. Learn more about the technology Learn More About the Technology Behind eSie Measure Package Tab TitleTextMeasurements Available With the use of the eSie measure package there are a total of 140 measurements available for both Adult Echo and Pediatric Echo packages.     eSie measure package is available for Transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE), Pediatric echocardiogram and Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) applications.  Currently there are: 7 - 2D imaging measurements for TTE   45 - M-mode measurements for TTE   22 – Spectral Doppler measurements with up to 3 spectral wave forms assessed for each measurement   22 spectral Doppler measurements for both TTE and TEE examinations  Benefits The use of eSie measure package can bring many benefits to the department. Some of these are: Standardizing measurement results   Streamlining workflow by reducing users interaction time with the images   Lowers measurement variability and simplifies complicated tasks eSie Access™ Measurement Interface The calculation list is displayed utilizing eSie Access™ measurement interface. The eSie Access interface presents the user with the correct measurement list as per mode in use.   This allows the “single click” measurement method.  The eSie Access also displays the calculation list on the right side of the screen to show measurements made, as well in the results box on the image. If any of the measurements or caliper points are edited, repositioned or deleted; the results will be updated and instantaneously displayed in the calculation list, displaying the new results.   Tip:  To standardize measurements within a department, it is suggested to resist moving the caliper points unless they are obviously placed incorrectly.   Misplaced calipers can occur when sub optimal images are measured and there is not enough pixel information for automatic placement. The configuration around the trackball provides an ergonomic design. The Controls and Soft Keys conveniently placed around the trackball are referred to as the home position.  Working in the home position minimizes hand movements and reaching, allowing the user to quickly navigate through each task. This same configuration of trackball, Controls and Soft Keys located on the control panel are mirrored as icons on the bottom of the image. The user can either activate the appropriate Control or Soft Key on the control panel; or use the active pointer and trackball to choose the associated icons on the bottom of the image by pointing to the icon with the active arrow and pressing the Select control. Letting the user choose the method of measuring, allows a freedom of using the workflow best suited for that user.   Control Simulation Control Simulation Instructions:Flash File:HTML5 File:/content/generator/Course_90022195/trackball_exp2019_2/index.htmlPDF File: Soft Keys Simulations Soft Keys Simulations Instructions:Flash File:HTML5 File:/content/generator/Course_90022195/2019_SoftKeys_V2a/index.htmlPDF File: Now that there is a sense on how the Controls and Soft Keys function around the trackball, let’s begin with activating the eSie measure package.  This will be a review of each workflow. The number of wave forms measured can have some limiting factors. The sweep speed used and number of complete wave forms displayed can limit the number of wave forms measured.     Setting three wave forms to be measured with patients that present with irregular rhythms such as Atrial Fibrillation, can greatly improve the workflow to meet the cardiology guidelines and recommendations. Many societies suggest multiple measurements for these conditions for more accurate patient results. eSie Measure Package Spectral Doppler Example Spectral Doppler Example Instructions:Flash File:HTML5 File:/content/generator/Course_90022195/eSieDoppler(1).mp4PDF File: How to Move Measurement Box on Image How to Move Measurement Box on Image If the measurement results box on the image overlays important data, this box can be moved.  Move active arrow over box and press Select.  Note the box boarder color will change and user can now move the results box to a different location on the screen using the trackball.  Press Select to set.  Results box will remain in this location until re-positioned To Edit Spectral Doppler Measurements Press Select Set to reactivate the first caliper position, (caliper turns green).  The active caliper can now be repositioned   Set caliper by pressing Select or continue pressing the Next control to continue progressing to other calipers or measurement to be edited  If a Velocity Time Integral (VTI) measurement was performed, the tracing will highlight in green when toggling through the points with the Next control.  The user can use the trackball to back over tracing to erase, then re-tracing spectral Doppler wave form by moving forward.  A measurement may be deleted by pressing Select Set to activate edit mode Press Next until the whole measurement to be edited is highlighted in green Press Delete to remove measurement  All edits can be completed by pressing the Select control.  Example of Editing a Spectral Wave Form Example of Editing a Spectral Wave Form Instructions:Flash File:HTML5 File:/content/generator/Course_90022195/DopplerEdit.mp4PDF File:
