Exporting or restoring a database on the allara Max. Before you begin, make sure you have the desired programs, an exams editor or Pex database on a USB drive. To backup and export the database from the system, select backup export under the database Export Import section of the Configuration tab. The database backup box will display. To back the database up to the system, select either the C or D drive and then select go. To back the database up to the USB drive, select the drive. In this case the F drive and select go. To restore a database from the USB drive to the system, select Restore, import, then select the + beside the USB drive. In this case the F drive. The available databases will display. Be sure to highlight the correct database, typically identified with the hospital name or with a date and time stamp with the desired database highlighted. Deselect both checkboxes for restore stand positions and assured data consistency. Then select go. A green bar will move across the bottom of the dialog box, showing that the database is actively loading. Once loaded, a pop up box will display showing a successful restore. Select OK and the system will close out of the Pex editor and open to the login screen. Close out of the Pex editor and the system is ready to use.
