FLC: Composing Ortho Images XPRF 1. Open the desired Patient in the “Examination” tab, for the Ortho Examination and select the appropriate Organ Program (i.e. OW for upright, OT for table). 2. Set the system up for the exam and acquire the images, following the onscreen instructions. o Measure and enter the TOD for the anatomy of Interest on each patient and position (AP, PA, and Lateral). o TOD measuring for Spine Exams should be at the level of T7, and mid-knee for Leg Exams. 3. Once all images are acquired, the system will automatically open the Ortho Images within the Postprocessing tab to “Compose” the Images. o There are two images that will display, the “Detail Image” (Larger image in the middle of the screen) and the “Overview Image” (the smaller full view of the composed anatomy). 4. In rare cases where transition areas have not been optimally reconstructed by the system, or when the patient moves, adjustments can be made manually. To ensure optimal reconstruction, evaluate each image overlap and make adjustments if needed. 5. To do this turn off the “Blend/Cut” mode with in the “Compose” subtask card. The “orientation mark” will change on the “Detail” image from (-) to (#). o The very first image cannot be adjusted. o The “Position Number” also indicates the image that is being adjusted. Keep in mind the magnitude or number of pixels the image is adjusted is controlled by the step size (7 Pixels equals about a millimeter). If it is necessary to adjust the “cut line” in order to more accurately adjust the image this can be done via the “up and down” arrows with a line through them. amination Fulton Step der Bussesoucisod 9. Repeat steps 6-8 to make any additional adjustments if needed. 10. When the image is adjusted as desired, turn the “Blend/Cut” mode back ON and the “Zoom” icon OFF, if engaged. 11. To save the composed Image select the “Save Image” Icon. Image Tools 12.
