FLC User Settings: Image Delete

This SBS will guide end User with the suggested set up for the Image Delete
icon with in the User Settings.

FLC: User Settings - Image Delete XPRF Within the “Image Delete” icon of the “User Settings”, the following can be managed: Recycle Bin, User Initials, Reject Analysis, and Password Protection. 1. Auto delete: “Enable auto delete” is used to help free up hard disk space on the system. Typi- cally set to delete 40% of the oldest archived images when the “Hard disk fill level” is 60% full. The preferred “Activation Date” is “Daily”. Conditions are usually set for “Images sent” on VE10 software or “All images of a study are archived” on VF10 software. Archiving Information: Maintain deleted studies is typically left unchecked. 5. Recycle Bin: Select the “Enable” box to allow deleted images to be stored in the “Recycle Bin” when they are rejected. Once activated, any rejected images that have not been sent to PACS will automatically be sent to the recycle bin. (The drop down below “Enable” on VF10 soft- ware is typically left blank.) User Initials: Setting “Use User Initials” requires users to enter their initials when beginning an exam by means of an automatic pop-up box. Selecting “Use as DICOM operator’s name” will assign the user’s initials to the DICOM header. The entered initials will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen after acquisition, if selected in the “Image Display and Print Properties” of the “User Settings”. 7. Rejected Images Analysis: Selecting “Enable rejected images analysis” will create statistics about acquired and deleted images. (See step by step “Exporting Reject Image Data” for in- formation on viewing and exporting these statistics.) Selecting “Provide user related analy- sis” will enable the statistics to be broken down by user. 8. Password: Selecting “Password protected” will allow you to password protect the functions located within this setting. Additionally, if a password is set up, it is required to open the “Re- jected Image Statistics” and “Recycle Bin” icons. Note: if the password is forgotten, it can be reset in the Service Mode. 9. Select Apply and OK to save any changes made on this page.
