What is syngo Lab Data Manager?  syngo Lab Data Manager is a diagnostic informatics system that streamlines analytic functions with multiple instruments, LIS and Siemens Data Center and combines syngo Lab Data Manager Result Manager and syngo  Lab Data Manager Quality Control to efficiently manage data.   Applications Learn more about Applications. Tab TitleTextResult Manager  Result Manager syngo Lab Data Manager contains applications that manage your patient, sample and quality control data.  Result Manager provides organized lists of your most recent patients, sample and result information. Details can be easily accessed from the lists and action may be taken on samples and results. Result Manager also provides definable rules, which can initiate reflex testing, calculation and hold transmission of results for users to review. Quality Control  Quality Control provides organized lists of quality control information. Details about particular controls can be accessed easily, such as Levey-Jennings charts and statistics.  Customized QC reports can be generated and printed as needed.  When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.   Workflow Management Learn more about Workflow Management. syngo Lab Data Manager is a separate but integrated system that helps manage the workflow of instruments and the laboratory information system (LIS).  Samples are ordered in the LIS and downloaded to syngo Lab Data Manager.  Multiple instruments are connected to syngo Lab Data Manager. When a sample is introduced to a connected instrument, a query is sent to syngo Lab Data Manager, which routes the appropriate order to the instrument processing the sample. In the basic installation, instruments are connected to syngo Lab Data Manager, which communicates to Siemens Data Center via the internet.  Firewalls protect the system by blocking any unsolicited requests from the internet. The internet connection is secure through the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for all transmissions to the Siemens Data Center. This service provides valuable anti-virus updates to syngo Lab Data Manager, as well as software updates. Additionally, the service allows for assistance in troubleshooting by Siemens personnel.
