How to Configure and Use CARE RV Computed Tomography Adapting the kV value for each patient offers significant dose reduction potential; however, configuring CT technical parameters on the fly can be complex and time consuming. Siemens' CARE KV automatically suggests a kV setting for each individual patient, specific to their size and the type of examination being performed, in order to optimize both dose and image quality. This value is applied to the entire scan range and does not modulate during the scan. There are three different modes for CARE KV: Off, On, and Semi, and these can be found on the Scan subtask card.
