How to Perform a System Calibration The purpose of calibrating a CT scanner is to optimize the system performance and prolong the life of the equipment. A calibration should be performed approximately 1 – 2 hours after the check-up process is completed. It is also recommended to repeat the calibration if the system has been idle for more than one hour or as otherwise instructed by your service engineer. 1. Select OK to confirm that all objects have been removed from the scan field. Calibration Function "Calibration" started. Be sure that all objects are removed from the scan field. The gantry will automatically tilt back to the zero position and the table will move out of the gantry. Click OK to continue OK Cancel 3. Press Start on the control box to begin the process. 4. When the calibration is complete, click OK to close the dialogue box. Calibration Click OK to continue. Current tube temperature = 383K Press START key to start the scan.
