How to Reconstruct Images from RTD Data step by step

How to Reconstruct Images from RTD Data Computed Tomography RTD - Real Time Display: the preliminary images seen during the acquisition of a scan range. In order to display images quickly, RTD images are purposefully generated with gaps using a reduced resolution and no specialty filters. As such, RTD images are intended for localization and reconstruction planning only and should not be used for diagnosis. The following is a guide to creating an optimal, diagnostic dataset from RTD images. 1. Perform an appropriate scan of the desired anatomy. The first reconstruction box will display RT indicating that these are RTD images and that most reconstruction parameters have not been applied to this recon job. Topogram Spine RT 2. Adjust the magenta boxes in Segments 1 and 2 to graphically define the desired x -, y- and z- axis reconstruction parameters. The entire box may be repositioned using the bulls-eye in the center. Drag the top and bottom of the box to set the recon begin and end locations in the z- axis. Adjust the size of the box to define the desired Display Field of View (DFOV). Scroll through the images in Segment 2 to verify that DFOV is appropriate for the entire scan range. 1.13-12:44:28-ST Hospital 13.03.13-12:44:28-STD-Specials . Press RECON. Verify that the resulting images include the desired anatomy. Recon NOTE: Prior to reconstructing RT images, a temporary folder with the series name followed by RTD (i.e. "Abdomen RTD") is created in the local database. This folder should not be sent to PACS, as the images are not of diagnostic quality. 13.03.13-08:00:35- 13.03.13-12:18:04-S Local Database 13.03.13-12:44:2 Spine Spine_€ [101] Spine RTD JETZT Prot 11111 Prot Scheduler 3 PHASE ABD [101] Spine RTData THTTT DVD-RW AS+_AAA, CAP_Ar [2] Topogram 0.6 T80f DVD-ROM AS+CarotidCTA [1] Topogram 0.6 T80f Siemens Healthineers Services Page 2 of 3 Job Aid | How to Reconstruct Images from RTD Data Effective Date: 8/16/2016 | Quality 635 Please note that the learning material is for training purposes only!
