IMMULITE® 2000 Immunoassay System Quality Control Online Training

Quality control includes following the steps required to efficiently enter quality control information, load quality control samples and order quality control tests on the IMMULITE® 2000 Immunoassay System. This clinical laboratory training qualifies for continuing education units (CEU).

Welcome to the IMMULITE® 2000 System Quality Control Online Training course.  This course introduces you to: Entering quality control data Running quality control samples Select Next to continue. Add a test to an existing control and Enter a new control Identify the fields on the Control Entry screen Load and order barcoded controls Run controls without barcodes Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Select Next to continue. Congratulations you have completed the IMMULITE 2000 System Quality Control Online Training course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz.   In this online training course, you learned how to:   Load and order barcoded controls, as well as controls without barcodes.  Controls are run to determine if adjustments are valid. They can also be used to verify if the reagent and beads are viable.   To run barcoded controls: Load control samples on the system and put the system in Run mode Select Worklist Select Next Order tests Select Accept Control Review Display/Edit screen To run unbarcoded controls: Load control samples on the system and put the system in Run mode Select Worklist Select New, Enter accession number, Press Enter key Order tests Assign tube position Select Accept Control Review Display/Edit screen Identify the fields on the Control Entry screen, which allows you to identify control material run on the system.  To access the Control Entry screen, select QC from the Horizontal Toolbar and then Data Entry from the QC window. Using the Control Entry screen, you learned how to add a test to an existing control and enter information for a new control.   To add a test to an existing control: Select Control Name Select Add New Test, select test, select level Enter target values Select appropriate acceptance criteria option Select Save Add additional levels of the control To enter information for a new control: Select New Control Enter control identification information Select Add New Test, select test, select level Enter target values Select appropriate acceptance criteria option Select Save Add additional levels of the control Select Next to continue.   Controls are run to: Determine adjustment validity Verify reagent and beads viability Let's look at how to run barcoded controls. Sample tubes that have missing or damaged barcodes must either be re-labeled or assigned an accession number. Let's look at how to run unbarcoded controls.      Run Unbarcoded Controls Learn how to run unbarcoded controls. Base ImageHotspotsText BlocksImage FileControl Identification Window The Control Identification Window has four fields: Name - required field, may be up to 6 characters Source - optional field Lot # - required field, may be up to 3 digits Expiration Date - required field  Accession Number Field  You can define a unique accession number for each control level.  If a unique accession number is not specified, the software generates an accession number from the information entered in the Control Identification window. Current Tests Window Up to four levels of control can be entered into the Control Entry screen  Up to four levels of control can be entered into the Control Entry screen Up to four levels of control can be entered into the Control Entry screen Up to four levels of control can be entered into the Control Entry screen  Target Values Window  Target values are entered here.  The low and high limits are automatically calculated when calculate range is selected. Last Control Results Window  When Multi rules are chosen, the last four control results for a test are shown here. Acceptance Criteria Window  Using these options prohibits the system from automatically sending unacceptable results to the LIS.  Use these options to set up your QC rules and to define multi rules for evaluating control results. There are times where tests may need to be added to an existing control already defined in the software. Add Test to an Existing Control Learn how to add a test to an existing control.
