IMMULITE® 2000 XPi Immunoassay System Daily Maintenance Online Training

Daily maintenance includes performing daily maintenance procedures required for the optimal performance of the IMMULITE® 2000 XPi Immunoassay System. This clinical laboratory training qualifies for continuing education units (CEU).

Welcome to the IMMULITE® 2000 XPi System Daily Maintenance Online Training course.  This course introduces you to the daily maintenance procedures: Checking the consumables Priming the substrate Scheduling and initiating an Auto Start Select Next to continue. Check consumables Prime the substrate Schedule and initiate an Auto Start Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Select Next to continue. Congratulations. You have completed the IMMULITE 2000 XPi System Daily Maintenance course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz.    Key Points: Checking the consumables. Consumables are supplies needed to run tests on the system.  Checking the consumables includes: Loading Water - Fill the water bottle with distilled/de-ionized water.  Do not disconnect the tubing from the valve at the back of the water bottle while the system is in RUN mode. Loading Probe Wash - Each 200 mL bottle of concentrated probe wash must be diluted with 1800 mL of distilled/de-ionized water before it is used. Do not disconnect the tubing from the probe wash bottle while the instrument is in RUN mode. Loading Substrate - Allow the substrate to reach room temperature.  Pipette substrate from the refill bottle into the substrate reservoir. Loading Reaction Tubes - Grasp the reaction tube hopper handle and swing it towards you. Fill the reaction tube hopper. Emptying Solid Waste - Remove the biohazard bag filled with used reaction tubes. Put a new biohazard bag in the solid waste container. Flip the tube deflector forward and replace the container on the system, with the deflector at the back end. Emptying Liquid Waste - Push the dark gray button on the liquid waste bottle fitting to release the valve, while pulling the tube out. Remove the liquid waste bottle. Empty the liquid waste bottle and place it on the system.  Reconnect the liquid waste bottle by inserting the valve at the end of the waste line tubing until it clicks into place. Priming the substrate. The substrate can either be primed manually or the system can be configured to automatically prime the substrate. To manually prime the substrate: Remove the substrate probe from its holder next to the bead/tube wash station. Check for white precipitate at the end of the substrate nozzle. If necessary, gently wipe the nozzle with a clean swab or lint-free, dry tissue. Hold the substrate probe over a clean beaker or other external container. Press and release the green PRIME button. The pump primes four times. Continue to prime until there is a steady stream of substrate and no air in the tubing. Place the substrate probe back into its holder. To configure the system to automatically prime the substrate, select the Substrate Dispense ON button on the AutoStart Configuration screen.  The system will automatically dispense substrate every two hours, ensuring that the substrate probe is always primed and ready to run tests. The substrate is automatically dispensed only if the system is logged off or in Stop mode. Scheduling and initiating an Auto Start on the IMMULITE 2000 XPi System.   AutoStart includes restarting the computer, running the probe cleaning diagnostic, and priming the DRD’s and water probe.  You can either manually select to run AutoStart from the Startup screen or Menu screen, or you can configure the system to run AutoStart at a specific time each day.  The Instrument must be in stop mode or logged off for AutoStart processing to begin. To manually initiate AutoStart: Load probe cleaning solution and ensure consumables are full Prime substrate probe Select Run AutoStart To configure the system to run AutoStart at a specific time each day: Select the Menu button Select AutoStart Configuration Select the appropriate days and times Select Save   Select Next to continue.     The IMMULITE 2000 XPi System consumables: Water Probe Wash Substrate Reaction Tubes Solid Waste Liquid Waste Checking Consumables Learn about checking consumables. Abaixo estão listados os principais pontos que foram apresentados. Reserve um tempo para revisar o material antes de prosseguir para o teste final. It is important that the substrate probe is primed in order to ensure an accurate amount of substrate is dispensed while running tests. On the IMMULITE 2000 XPi System, there are two ways to prime the substrate: Prime the substrate manually as part of daily maintenance Configure the system to automatically dispense substrate every two hours Manually Priming Substrate Learn how to manually prime substrate   Select the play arrow to begin the video. When completed, select X to close the window and continue. Automatic Substrate Dispense Configuration Learn about Automatic Substrate Dispense Configuration. The automatic substrate dispense option allows you to configure the system to automatically dispense substrate every two hours, ensuring that the substrate probe is always primed and ready to run tests.  The substrate is automatically dispensed only if the system is logged off or in Stop mode.  NOTE: When the probe is inactive for more than 2 hours, the operator must manually prime the first time for this routine to continue. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.
