IMMULITE® 2000 XPi Immunoassay System Quality Control Online Training

Quality control includes following the steps required to efficiently enter quality control information, load quality control samples and order quality control tests on the IMMULITE® 2000 XPi Immunoassay System. This clinical laboratory training qualifies for continuing education units (CEU).

Welcome to the IMMULITE® 2000 XPi System Quality Control Online Training course.  This course introduces you to: Entering quality control data Running quality control samples Creating and scheduling quality control worklists Select Next to continue. Add a test to an existing control and enter a new control Create and schedule a QC worklist Identify the fields on the Control Entry screen Run barcoded and unbarcoded controls Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Select Next to continue. When the System Check prints, record the results on the Daily Maintenance Log and the Daily System Check Log. Temperatures are recorded and Empty Cuvette Waste and Run System Check are documented on the Daily Maintenance Log. Temperatures that appear in parentheses indicate the system is acquiring temperature and cannot be recorded. Photometer, R1, R2, Sampler, HM, RMS, and LOCI® module results and the ABS lot are recorded on the Daily System Check log. Congratulations.  You have completed the IMMULITE 2000 XPi System Quality Control Online Training course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz. Key Points: In this online training course, you learned how to: Load and order barcoded controls, as well as controls without barcodes.  Controls are run to determine if adjustments are valid. They can also be used to verify if the reagent and beads are viable. To run barcoded controls: Load control samples on the system Select Worklist Select Next Order tests Select Accept Control Review Display/Edit screen To run unbarcoded controls: Load control samples on the system Select Worklist Select New, Enter accession number, Press Enter key Order tests Assign tube position Select Accept Control Review Display/Edit screen Identify the fields on the Control Entry screen, which allow you to identify control material run on the system.  To access the Control Entry screen, select QC from the Horizontal Toolbar and then Data Entry from the QC window. Using the Control Entry screen, you learned how to add a test to an existing control and enter information for a new control. To add a test to an existing control: Select Control Name Select Add New Test, select test, select level Enter target values Select appropriate acceptance criteria option Select Save Add additional levels of the control To enter information for a new control: Select New Control Enter control identification information Select Add New Test, select test, select level Enter target values Select appropriate acceptance criteria option Select Save Add additional levels of the control Create and schedule a QC worklist.   QC worklists can be scheduled to run as part of AutoStart, or can be scheduled to run separately from AutoStart. To create a QC worklist: On the Menu screen, select Scheduled QC to open the QC Worklist Display screen. Select Add to open the QC Worklist Entry screen. Enter a name for the worklist in the QC Worklist Name field at the top of the screen. Select Add Control to select the controls and tests to add to the worklist. Select the Control Name, Control Level, and Control Lot from the drop-down lists. Select Test Selection to open the Available Tests screen. Choose the tests to be run on that control. Select Accept. Add additional controls by repeating these steps.  When all of the control information has been entered, select Save. To schedule a QC worklist: Select Schedule from the QC Worklist Display screen, or Scheduled QC from the AutoStart Configurations screen. On the Scheduled QC screen, select Add. Select the QC Worklist name from the drop-down list and select the Schedule Type. If AutoStart or Day / Time is selected, options will appear that allow you to select when the worklist will be scheduled to run. After making the selections, select OK. On the AutoStart Configuration screen, select the View Worklists buttons to view the QC worklists scheduled to be run as part of AutoStart. Select Next to continue. Each time the RUN key is pressed, the yellow Needs Check icon displays while checking for sufficient reagent for all ordered tests. Once the check is complete, the Needs Check icon will go away. The yellow Needs Check icon will change to a red Check Needs icon when there is a reagent need. Selecting Alt/N will display the System Needs screen.
