You have completed the IMMULITE 2000 XPi Immunoassay System Required Maintenance Online Training Course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz.   Weekly Maintenance Procedures    •  Cleaning the Waste Tube Cleaning the waste tube keeps the tubing clean which prevents bacterial growth.  The software must be logged off to access the diagnostics screen in order to perform the waste tube maintenance procedure.  Select the Waste Tube diagnostic option from the Load Program window and follow the instructions on the screen to effectively perform the waste tube cleaning procedure.   •  Perform the Sample Probe Angle diagnosticPerforming the Sample Probe Angle Diagnostic will check the integrity of the sample probe for effective aspiration and dispensing of samples.  The software must be logged off in order to access the diagnostic option.  Select the option for the sample probe angle from the Load Program window, and follow the instructions on the screen to facilitate the successful completion of the sample probe angle procedure. Monthly Maintenance Procedures • Checking the dispense angle of the reagent probe The reagent probe dispense angle procedure checks the integrity of the reagent probe.  You must access the diagnostic window by logging off the software and selecting the option in the Load Program window to initiate the dispense reagent probe angle.  Follow the instructions for the successful completion of the maintenance procedure.   • Cleaning the fan filter Cleaning the fan filter allows proper cooling of the computers and hard drives.  Open the top cover of the system and open the side door panel to access the fan filter.  Clean the fan filter and replace the clean fan filter for proper air flow.   • Decontaminating the Clot Detection Transducer The decontamination of the clot transducer keeps the clot transducer free of microbial growth.  The clot detection transducer procedure can be performed by accessing the diagnostics window and selecting the transducer decontamination option to initiate the procedure.  Follow the instructions on the screen to successfully complete the procedure.   • Decontaminating the fluid bottles and lines Decontamination of the bottles and lines keeps the bottles and fluidic lines free of microbial growth.  You will initiate the maintenance procedure on the software to decontaminate the lines; and use 70% isopropyl to wash the bottles and rinse the well with DI water.   • Performing the water test PM The Water test PM ensures that the system water is free of alkaline phosphatase contamination.  To perform the water test PM, the system must be logged off to access the diagnostics window.  Select the water test PM option from the Load Program window and follow the instruction on the screen to successfully complete the procedure.   Quarterly Maintenance Procedures • Replacing the CO2 scrubber The CO2 scrubber maintains the integrity of the substrate.  To replace the CO2 scrubber, the top cover of the system must be opened.  You will remove the old CO2 scrubber and replace it with the new CO2 scrubber by removing and replacing the attached black tubing.   Select Next to continue.   The IMMULITE 2000 XPi Weekly Maintenance procedures consist of: Waste Tube Cleaning Diagnostic Sample Probe Angle Diagnostic Select Next to continue. Proper pre-handling ensures the integrity of the sample and valid results. The following materials are required to perform Hemoglobin A1C sample analysis:  the DCA Systems Hemoglobin A1c Reagent Kit and Hemoglobin A1c Normal and Abnormal Control Kit, a blood sample from the patient, and a lint free tissue. Select the link on this page to learn more about the process for pre-sample handling. Ensure that the CPS measurement for each tube is less than 1100.2Enter the Substrate Only CPS value in the first blank on the line for each tube.  Select Next to continue. If the first criteria passed, enter the Substrate Only CPS value in the first blank on the line for each tube. 3 Subtract the Substrate Only CPS from the individual water CPS. Select Next to continue. After entering the value in the appropriate fields, subtract the Substrate Only CPS from the individual water CPS.4Enter the result in the second blank on the line for each tube. Select Next to continue. Next, enter the result in the appropriate field on the second blank on the line for each tube. 5The difference between the CPS measurement of each tube and the Substrate Only CPS must be ≤200 CPS.When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. If any of the measurements fail the criteria, repeat the procedure. If the difference between the CPS measurement of each tube and the Substrate Only CPS measurement is less than or equal to 200 CPS, the water test passed. The DCA Vantage® analyzer stores 16 distinct calibrations for the DCA Vantage assays. Each calibration represents a different lot. The Calibration card barcode and card contain the reagent lot number, mean values, value ranges, and expiration date in both barcode and printed format. Scanning the calibration card enters the information into the system. The calibration card must be scanned before that lot can be used on the analyzer.     If you do not scan the calibration curve into the system for the particular lot number of cartridges you wish to use, the system software prompts you to scan the calibration card.
