Innovations in CT Dose Optimization Virtual Classroom Course

This virtual instructor-led training will examine the evolving role of the CT technologist and our increasing responsibilities with regard to dose and radiation safety in CT imaging.  Participants will learn about many of the innovative solutions that Siemens offers to help optimize dose, including CARE Dose 4D, CARE kV, CARE Child, Adaptive Dose Shield, X-CARE, and Iterative Reconstruction techniques.  Dose reduction features specific to cardiac imaging and dual source scanning will also be reviewed, as well as important tools to increase dose awareness and streamline dose reporting - like Dose Notification, Dose Alert, and the DICOM structured Dose Report.  Finally, a reminder that prudent scanning techniques and appropriate use of physical and technical factors in clinical routine can help reduce radiation exposure for adult and pediatric patients alike.
