Installing Calibrator Definitions on the Atellica® Solution Video Version 1.25 and Below

Calibrater definitions must be installed when a new lot of calibrater will be used to install a new calibrater definition on the system. The information can be scanned from the calibrater lot specific value sheet. This value sheet can be found in the box with the calibrating materials. To scan in a calibrater definition at the Command bar, select calibration. And then select the Calibrater definitions tab. Scan the barcodes from the calibrater lot specific value sheet using the barcode reader. The add calibrater definition screen will display when the barcode or bar codes have been successfully scanned, confirmed the scanned information that displays is correct. To enable the calibrater material for calibration, select the active checkbox. If the atellica solution is a sample handler configuration, there is an option to have the calibrating material stored in the Cal QC storage area. Select the store on board checkbox if you want the system to store the material. So like save to save the calibrater definition. The Calibrater definition now displays on the calibration definition screen. If the barcode reader is not available, calibrater definitions can be manually added by selecting the add new button on the calibration definition screen. In the add Calibrater definition screen, enter all of the information from the calibrater lot specific value sheet and then select the save button. To edit an existing calibrater definition on the Calibrater definition screen, select the calibrater definition and then select the edit button. On the add Calibrater definition screen, several items in the calibrater definition can be edited. Assays can be added, assays can be deleted, but level values can be changed. The expiration date can be corrected. The calibrater can be activated or deactivated, and the onboard storage option can be changed if the assay is able to be stored on board. To complete the procedure, select save to save the edited Calibrater definition.
