This job aid will assist the user in positioning a patient in the prone position on the Symbia scanner (all models) while using IQ SPECT option

IQ•SPECT: Patient Positioning for Imaging Prone SPECT & SPECT/CT 1. Load SMARTZOOM collimators onto the camera and select the Reconfigure tab on the PPM. 2. Move the detectors to the IQ•SPECT configuration by selecting the IQ-SPECT configuration button and press the green proceed button. Move the pallet toward the bore until the patient’s heart is centered vertically within the PPM target box. 10. Raise or lower the bed until the patient’s heart is centered horizontally within the box. 11. Identify the center of the heart on the on the Offset Zoom/CT FOV tab of the PPM and complete the following steps to focus the detectors on the heart: a. Using the arrows, adjust the crosshairs to be in the center of the heart for both detector images b. Press and hold the Reposition button until the detectors finish moving. c.
