In this training, we will introduce and explain the four features of the Enhanced CARE Package. We will explain how to take a snapshot, how to auto-store fluoro loops by using the proactive fluoro loop feature, discuss what the new histogram dose regulation is about and talk about zooming into images by using digital zoom. Let’s start with our first topic! Navigation Hints Before you start, we would like to give you a few tips on how to navigate: Table with 2 columns and 4 rows Not all pages contain audio. Some pages invite you to read for yourself or watch a video. All pages show an ? button in the lower right corner. Click the ? button to get a quick guide through the navigation elements. Some pages show an X button in the upper right corner. Click the X button to return to the overview page and not miss any information provided. Some images show a magnifier icon. Navigation Hints Navigation Help Select the icon above to open the table of contents. Click Next to continue. Next Welcome Slide The timeline displays the slide progression. Slide the orange bar backwards to rewind the timeline. Click Next to continue. Next Timeline Select the X to close the pop-up. Click Next to continue. Next Layer Slide Select Submit to record your response. Click the X in the upper right corner to exit the navigation help. Assessment Slide Snapshot ? Snapshot Mode Snapshot is a dose-saving alternative to a DFR/DR acquisition. Please note: There is no disruption of the fluoroscopy while activating the Snapshot Mode. Select the colored callouts to learn where and how the Snapshot Mode can be activated. Store Snapshots during Fluoro Snapshot Mode [olt_lum-lotus-max_enhanced-care-pack_en_3-1.mp3] With the Snapshot Mode, you can take a snapshot image during fluoroscopy. Snapshot is a dose-saving alternative to a DFR/DR acquisition. You can take a snapshot by using the touchscreen on the control console, the Examination task card on the FLC interface, or by using the wireless footswitch Please note that there is no disruption of the fluoroscopy while activating the Snapshot Mode. Select the colored callouts on the left to learn where and how the Snapshot Mode can be activated. Take a Snapshot by using the Wireless Footswitch During fluoroscopy, press the highlighted button to take a snapshot image. The snapshot function is only active during fluoroscopy. After fluoro, you can use this button to store the last fluoro image (LIH). Snapshot/Store Image/Store LIH Take a Snapshot by using the FLC Interface During fluoroscopy, take a snapshot by using the highlighted icon on the Fluoro tab in the Examination task card. The icon is only active during fluoroscopy. Store the current image Before fluoroscopy, this icon is displayed. Store Snapshot during Fluoro During fluoroscopy, the icon changes to the Store snapshot during fluoro icon. Take a Snapshot by using the Touchscreen During fluoroscopy, press the highlighted icon to take a snapshot image. The snapshot icon is only active during fluoroscopy. ? In this video, we demonstrate on the FLC interface how to take snapshots during fluoroscopy. Select Play to start the video. Snapshot Demonstration Snapshot Demonstration [vid_lum-lotus-max_enhanced-care-pack_snapshot_en_docx] Speakertext: To activate the Snapshot Mode, perform fluoroscopy. During fluoroscopy, select the Store snapshot icon to take a snapshot image. When a snapshot is saved, a save icon appears. You can take as many snapshots as required during fluoroscopy. Please note: When fluoroscopy has ended, the icon changes to the Store the current image icon. If you want to take snapshots again, you have to perform fluoroscopy again. ? Storage of Snapshots All snapshots are automatically stored in the study (Documentation task card). Storage of Snapshots [olt_lum-lotus-max_enhanced-care-pack_en_3-3.mp3] When storing snapshots, all snapshot images are automatically stored in the study. You can access the snapshot images by going to the Documentation task card. Proactive FluoroLoop ? Proactive FluoroLoop The performed fluoro loop is automatically stored in the study (Documentation task card). Select the callouts to learn where and how the auto-store function can be activated manually. Click here to learn how to activate Auto store fluoro loop at system startup in the User Settings. Auto Store Fluoro Loop Proactive FluoroLoop [olt_lum-lotus-max_enhanced-care-pack_en_4-1.mp3] The Proactive FluoroLoop function comprises an auto-store function for all fluoro loops. When activated, the performed fluoro loop is automatically stored in the study in the Documentation task card. You can activate this function on the touchscreen, the Examination task card on the FLC interface, or the wireless footswitch. Select the callouts to learn where and how the auto-store function can be activated manually. You can also activate the automatic storage of fluoro loops at system startup. If configured in the User Settings, it can be activated upon start up of the system automatically. Click here to learn how to turn this function on and off in the USER SETTINGS. Activate at System Startup In the USER SETTINGS, select the Examination Properties. Enable Active at startup. Now, Auto store fluoro loops is activated right after system startup. Store Fluoro Loop 1 2 Activate Auto Store by using the Wireless Footswitch To store fluoro loops automatically by using the wireless footswitch, do the following: To activate Auto store fluoro loop, press the upper right button. Perform fluoroscopy. The fluoro loop is automatically stored in the study. To deactivate Auto store fluoro loop, press the same button again. Store Fluoro Loop Activate Auto Store by using the Touchscreen To store fluoro loops automatically by using the touchscreen, do the following: To activate Auto store fluoro loop, press the highlighted icon. Perform fluoroscopy. The fluoro loop is automatically stored in the study. To deactivate Auto store fluoro loop, press the same icon again. Enable/disable Automatic Storing a Fluoro Loop Activate Auto Store by using the FLC Interface To use the auto store function for fluoro loops, do the following: Activate the Auto store fluoro loop icon on the Fluoro tab of the Examination task card. Perform fluoroscopy. The fluoro loop is automatically stored in the study. To deactivate the auto-store function, select the icon again. Auto Store Fluoro Loop Automatic Storage of a Fluoro Loop The automatic storage of a fluoro loop is indicated by this icon. Auto Store Fluoro Loop The auto-store function is active. Histogram Dose Regulation ? Histogram Dose Regulation Regulates the dose automatically by using the entire collimated image area as its measuring field Used when dealing with different densities (e.g. prosthetics, metal implants) Not possible for RAD or single shot acquisitions If configured, different settings are available Select the callouts to learn where this function can be activated on the FLC interface and touchscreen! Histogram Dose Regulation Histogram Dose Regulation [olt_lum-lotus-max_enhanced-care-pack_en_5-1.mp3] The third feature of the enhanced CARE package is the histogram dose regulation. Histogram dose regulation regulates the dose automatically by using the entire collimated image area as its measuring field. It is used when dealing with different densities, such as prosthetics and metal implants. Please note that histogram dose regulation is not possible for RAD or single shot acquisitions. You can select the histogram dose regulation on the touchscreen or on the FLC interface. If configured, different histogram regulation settings are available and can be selected. Select the callouts to learn where this function can be activated on the FLC interface and touchscreen. Activate Histogram Dose Regulation on FLC Interface Press the measuring field icon to open the drop-down menu. Select the histogram dose regulation function. 1 Activate Histogram Dose Regulation on Touchscreen Press the measuring field icon to open the drop-down menu. Select the icon in the Setup tab card to toggle to digital zoom. Digital Zoom Toggle between Zoom and Digital Zoom Select this icon to switch to digital zoom. Set the Zoom Stage (Input Format). Digital Zoom [olt_lum-lotus-max_enhanced-care-pack_en_6-1.mp3] With the Enhanced CARE package, you can toggle between the regular Zoom mode and Digital Zoom. In comparison to the regular Zoom mode, Digital Zoom is a live image zoom for clinical images without increasing the dose. You can toggle to digital zoom on the touchscreen in the Setup tab card. If you switch to digital zoom, the digital zoom stages can be selected in the general functions area below. Let’s try switching to digital zoom! Select the icon in the Setup tab card to toggle to digital zoom. Set the Digital Zoom Stage. Toggle between Zoom and Digital Zoom Select this icon to switch to digital zoom. ? Display on FLC interface Digital Zoom Zoom Please note: You can only change the zoom on the touchscreen. On the Examination task card (FLC interface), you can see which zoom is active. At 30 p/s, only Digital Zoom 0 and Digital Zoom 2 are possible. Toggle between Zoom and Digital Zoom Set the Digital Zoom Stage Digital Zoom Use Histogram Dose Regulation Histogram dose regulation regulates the dose automatically. It covers the collimated image area. Select this function as an alternative to the standard measuring fields. You can activate this function on the touchscreen and on the FLC interface. Histogram dose regulation is not possible for RAD or single shot acquisitions. Histogram Dose Regulation Auto Store Fluoro Loops Using Proactive FluoroLoop The Proactive FluoroLoop function comprises an auto-store function for fluoro loops. When activated, the performed fluoro loop is automatically stored in the study (Documentation task card). You can activate this function manually on the Examination task card (FLC interface), the touchscreen, or the wireless footswitch. You can also activate the automatic storage of fluoro loops at system startup via USER SETTINGS > Examination Properties. Auto Store Fluoro Loop Take Snapshots during Fluoroscopy With the snapshot mode, you can take snapshot images during fluoroscopy. The snapshot function is only active during fluoroscopy. Snapshot is a dose-saving alternative to a DFR/DR acquisition. You can take snapshot images on the Examination task card (FLC interface), the touchscreen, or the wireless footswitch.
