Optional System Components – Examination Room Ceiling-Suspended X-Ray Unit The ceiling-suspended 3D overhead support consists of the following components: Lifting column X-ray tube unit Touchscreen user interface (MAXtouch) Collimator Handles with buttons Use the handles, if you want to manually bring the tube unit into another position (vertical, longitudinal, transverse or rotation). Collimator control panel Ceiling-Suspended X-Ray Unit [Audio file name: audf_llm_sec_plane_olt_csxrt.mp3] The ceiling-suspended X-ray unit is used to perform second plane acquisitions. You control the movements of the 3D overhead support with the aid of the handles and the MAXtouch, the touchscreen user interface. The display on the MAXtouch gives you various information, for example about the position of the support (Source-to-Image Distance – SID, tube angle, generator settings, patient name, and organ programs). Make yourself familiar with the single hardware components of the ceiling-suspended X-ray unit. ? Touchscreen User Interface – MAXtouch The MAXtouch is a color touchscreen user interface for control of multiple functions. The touchscreen corrects its display orientation from portrait to landscape, when the X-ray tube is tilted by 90°. Please note: Various functions of the MAXtouch are available as well on the Touchscreen User Interface (TUI) of the system remote control console. MAXtouch portrait orientation MAXtouch landscape orientation Touchscreen User Interface - MAXtouch [Audio file name: audf_llm_sec_plane_olt_maxtouch.mp3] The MAXtouch is a color touchscreen user interface for control of multiple functions. Select TOD (Table-Object Distance) The TOD must be measured for every patient, either from the table top to the Region of Interest (ROI) or from the front of the ortho stand to the ROI. Collimator and Control Panel The collimator and its control panel consist of the following components: Manual vertical collimation Manual horizontal collimation Button for full-field light localizer and laser line light localizer Measuring tape for SID / SOD measurement The measuring tape has two scales: inch (left scale) and cm (right scale) Laser line light localizer with sliding cover The laser line light localizer projects the axis mark for longitudinal centering, which is aligned with the centering mark on the receptor. Its sliding cover is used to protect the eyes of the patient or any other person. Accessory rails The accessory rails may be loaded with a maximum of 70 N (7 kg / 15.4 lbs). Underside Collimator Control Elements – Laser Light The laser line light localizer is located at the underside of the collimator together with a sliding cover. To protect the eyes of the patient or any other person, the laser outlet (1) of the laser line light localizer can be closed with the sliding cover (1a). (1a) In addition, the locking spring is located on the left guide rail at the underside of the collimator. The locking spring locks the compensating filters, templates, etc., inserted in the accessory rails of the collimator, thus securing them against falling out. To remove the accessories, press the locking spring to the left until the compensating filter, template, etc., can be removed from the collimator.
