MI SPECT Symbia Intevo MI Apps Workstation Class

This instructor led class is designed for the new Symbia Intevo customer who will be using the MI Applications workstation with their Symbia Intevo and Intevo Excel scanners. It is also appropriate for a customer who has purchased a Symbia T system. Through the use of demonstrations, lecture and hands-on labs, participants will learn the basics of CT imaging and reconstruction, basic CT cross sectional anatomy, patient prep and positioning, overview of the Symbia Intevo, Intevo Excel and Symbia T scanner, MI Applications command module, the use of SPECT-CT acquisition and processing workflows, Flexible Display, syngo Patient Browser, xSPECT Bone and Quant, and troubleshooting. By the end the course, the customer will be able to operate the workstation in a hybrid imaging environment.

Course Objectives
Upon Completion of this course participants will:

Understand the steps for patient preparation for hybrid imaging and ways to position the patient to get the best image quality.

Be able to identify the hardware components of the Symbia T and Intevo systems.

Gain knowledge of the CT hardware and its role in image creation.

Know how CT acquisition parameters can be adjusted to gain optimum image quality while decreasing patient dose.

Understand the reconstruction parameters for CT and their role in image quality

Learn the components of Symbia specific Nuclear Medicine acquisition and instrumentation.

Know the Symbia T and Intevo specific workflows along with their activities and functions.

Gain the knowledge of how to display CT images in order to get the best image quality.

Be able to identify key anatomy in CT cross sectional images and correlate them with Nuclear Medicine cross sectional images.

Be able to identify common image quality issues, their causes and how to avoid them.
