This video demonstrates how to position the C-arm of the Cios Alpha and Cios Spin for image acquisition.

Welcome to the system movements video for the CS Alpha and see a spin. In this video you will learn how to position the see Arm for Image acquisition. Please note we will demonstrate all system movement functions on a fully equipped CS in system. All shown functions applied to the. See Alpha as well. When changing the position of the see arm ensure that nothing is in the way of the see arm to avoid collisions. You can adjust the height of the C arm by motor control by pressing the arrow buttons on the ARM system control unit. Press the button on the alarm system control unit to lift the column upwards. Press the down button to lower the see arm. The lifting column stops automatically at the intermediate position. Press the down button again to move the C arm to the lowest position. When you press the button, you can hear a signal that stops as soon as the see Arm has reached the lowest position. If the lifting column cannot be moved, the emergency stop button is pressed. Turn the nob on the left side of the control unit clockwise until it pops back out. For see arm movements in other directions you have to release the electromagnetic brakes first. The buttons for releasing and engaging the brakes are located on the C arm System control unit. The remote control unit and the brake keypad on the flat detector. The buttons are color coded, an release movements for a specific axis of C arm movement. The axes of movement are also color coded with the same color. Please note that the scales on the C arm are intended for orientation only, not for measurement. Horozontal and swivel movements of the C arm are performed manually. Press the green button to release the electromagnetic brake and to allow horizontal movement by up to 20 centimeters. The brake released indicator lights up. Change. Move this support arm to the desired position while observing the green scale. Press the green button again to lock the brake. The brake released indicator light goes out. You can swivel this see arm in the horizontal plane in a range between minus 10 degrees and plus 10 degrees. To enable this, press the orange button. Swivel to see arm to the required position. An lock the break again. Angulation an orbital movements of the see arm can be performed either manually, by hand or motorized by using the motorization control module. When you move the see arm by using the motorization package, it is not necessary to release and lock the brakes when you press one of the move buttons, the respective break will be released automatically as long as you keep the button pressed when you release the button to stop the movement, the break will lock itself again. Press one of the yellow buttons on the motorization control module to rotate the see arm with motorized movements in the vertical plane. To rotate the see arm manually, release the brake to allow angulated movement. After reaching the desired position, lock the break again. For motorized orbital movements of the See Arm press one of the blue buttons on the motorization control module and keep it pressed until the see arm has reached the desired position. For manual movements in Orbital direction, press the blue key on the control module to release the brake. When the see Arm has reached the desired position, lock the brake again. You can check the angulated and the orbital position of the see arm on the control panel. It is possible to release an lock the brakes by pressing the buttons on the keypad on the front side of the detector housing. You can move the CR manually when you stand in front of the C arm opening. Use the handles on the detector housing for moving the C arm to avoid unintended. See arm movements. Ensure that all brakes are engaged. With the motorization package it is also possible to save 2 see arm positions including the respective collimator settings. After a new patient has been registered, the position memory one will be reset to orbital zero degrees and Angular zero degrees. To save a new position, move the see arm to the required position. Press the save button, both save position buttons flash press one of the two save position buttons to select whether the current position should be saved as position one or two. The save position button illuminates continuously to indicate that the position has been saved successfully.
