MR Cardiac Analysis Flow Job Aid syngo.via MR The MR Cardiac Flow step is used to determine flow and velocity parameters. 1. From the Patient Browser, load the appropriate data set into MR Cardiac Analysis Workflow:  If the examination has been correctly mapped, double click to load.  If manual mapping is required, right‐click the examination and select Assign Work‐ flow > MR Cardiac Analysis 2. The Cardiac Reading Step enables you to view functional, dynamic, tissue characterization and flow data using the common tools. 3. Select the MR Flow Quantification step MR Cardiac Analysis MR Cardiac Reading MR Cardiac Function O MR Flow Quantification Vessel Segmentation HOW 4. Perform Vessel Segmentation: Select an image with flow. a. Select > ROI1 to activate drawing an ROI MR Cardiac Analysis @ + MR Cardiac Reading MR Cardiac Function O MR Flow Quantification Vessel Segmentation Nudge O b. Select > one‐click vessel segmentation icon and click in the vessel or use one of the drawing tools to draw an ROI. Use the vessel segmentation tools to refine the segmentation, if required. d. Scroll through the phases to check the segmentation e. Select > Copy Forward or Copy Backward icon Vessel Segmentation f. If you want to perform other flow evaluations in a slice position, click the ROI2‐ROI4 icons to enable the drawing of other contours. g. In the lower left segment, the results of the vessel segmentation are displayed as a time‐flow graph and a result ticker. i. The time‐flow graph displays the flow quantification results over time for the selected flow parameter. These are the following flow parameters to be displayed:  Flow: Product of mean velocity and surface area  Peak‐Velocity: Peak velocity in the ROI  Vel: Mean velocity in the ROI  Net Flow: Difference between forward and reverse flow  Area: Surface of the segmented vessel TA -315 014 Elart. For MR Flow Quantification, the results of the current quantitative analysis are available in Findings details. a. Open the Findings details dialog box by clicking this icon on the upper right side the Findings Navigator. o Findings Navigator Name Value Source 10 b. Can define the heart rate of the patient. By default, the average heart rate is dis‐ played. An adaptation of the heart rate influences the average flow per minute. c. If you have performed the background phase adjustment, the check box in the Evaluation Option area is selected.
