MR Neuro 3D – Tractography Tractography Step – can be used to graphically display neural tracts. The Tractography step offers tools and to interactively create and evaluate diffusion tracts, or to statically create and visualize diffusion tracts. Tools for fused visualization fo the diffusion maps are also avilable, such as b0, ADC, FA, TraceW (trace-weighted), RD (radial diffusivity), and AD (Axial diffusivity) maps. Note: A Tensor dataset must be available to perform Diffusion Tractography 1. From the Patient Worklist, load the appropriate data set into the MR Neuro 3D Workflow a. Examination correctly mapped: double click to load b. Manual mapping required: right click the examination and Open With > MR Neuro 3D. Select Static Tracking Icon – activated interactive track creation Static Tracting i. Select VOI or Freehand ROI icon > draw around region of interest ii. Shrink to VOI Icon – shrinks activation around region of interest iii. Plane Icon: draw a plane on the region of interest 1. Adjust position, size, and location of plane 2. Press Esc key or Enter key to finish edits 3. Note - Drawn VOI, Freehand ROI, or Plane defines seed point; tracts within drawn VOI are displayed. Non-selected tracts are hidden; displays are updated in all segments. Move the VOI or plane to adjust tract displays. iv. Draw additional VOIs, Freehand ROI’s or Planes to define further seed points v. Select 2 VOIs from the list (e.g., VOI 1 and VOI 3) 1. Tracts between 2 selected VOIs are displayed and Boolean type filtering selected is applied to these 2 VOIs. 6. Boolean Filters – select and use filters to display specific tracts a. Calculate and SaveAs icon: create new tracts with selected algorithm and visual setting and save them as a new tract bundle. Use to create a new bundle based on an existing one. c. Save As It Is icon: display tracts in image area as is. New diffusion tract bundle is displayed with name of the algorithm parameter preset selected from settings list.
