MULTIX Impact: Centered Beam Exposure Examination Workflow Video

This video illustrates an example examination workflow for a Centered Beam Exposure on the MULTIX Impact system.

This video will provide an example of the examination workflow for a centered exposure with a vertical beam. First, begin by registering a patient and selecting an exam on the image station software to create a new patient entry. Click the patient icon in the pre registered patient tab. Next, enter all the relevant data. Mandatory fields are indicated by asterisks. The figure in the procedure information dialog box will change automatically to adult or pediatric based on the age that is entered. Then click the body part in the figure to be examined. Double click the target procedure in the procedure dialog box. The organ programs linked to the procedure will display in the OH GP list dialog box. Before starting the examination, you must select one or more organ programs. Select examination to begin examining the patient immediately. In preparation for the exposure, begin by inserting the wireless detector into the detector tray. Then position the patient according to the selected program the patient lies on the table in a low position. Next, place a lead apron on the patient. And then you bring the table to an appropriate working height. To adjust the S ID, press the button on the tube unit control panel or actuated the table height adjustment via the foot kick switches at the table base. Release the brakes with the push buttons on the control panel or with the buttons on the handles and position the tube unit to center the tube unit. Use the handles and bring the X Ray tube unit into the mid position. This position should correspond to the stop and align with the vertical beam path, which means no tilting or rotating can be performed on the tube unit. Press the button to align the center of the tube to the detector center. Position the thoracic spine correctly in the beam path by pushing the foot kick switch to float the table. Rotate the collimator nob to adjust the format, height, and width. Prior to releasing an exposure, check that the following conditions are met, the image station is set to examination mode. The patient is positioned correctly. The correct acquisition parameters are set, and the imaging system is ready for acquisition. Press the acquisition button. The X Ray is released. The preprocessed image will display followed by the finalized processed image. Check the image. If the acquired images OK, click accept or if the image needs slight adjustments, you can correct it in post processing. If the acquired image is unacceptable, you can reject it and repeat the exposure. Please note that after an acquisition has been performed, the next unused organ program is automatically selected. Refer to the image post processing online training for further information about post processing images on the image station software. Select the images that you want to send. If auto send is configured, images will automatically send to packs. If not, select this button to send the images.
