This job aid will cover the steps to follow to set up Smart Virtual Orho without Camera.

MULTIX Impact Smart Ortho (Without Camera) Siemens Impact VA20 Prerequisites: ✓ An Ortho Long Leg or Full Spine organ program is selected. ✓ The collimator must be in the 0° lock-in-position. ✓ The tube unit is be positioned in detent and centered to the detector at the correct SID. ✓ For Ortho acquisitions at the wall stand, the detector unit must be in the 0° position. ✓ Position the patient upright on the Ortho Stand or flat on the table-top. ✓ The Ortho menu is displayed on the Tube TUI. Steps: 1 Measure the Table-to-Object Distance (TOD) and enter it on the tube touchscreen (TUI). 2 Ask the patient to close their eyes and turn on the collimation light. 3 Angle the X-ray tube so that the laser is aligned to the upper edge of the region of interest (ROI). Select the upper limit button on the tube touchscreen (TUI): *The start position is stored, and the icon is marked with a check mark. 4 Angle the X-ray tube so that the laser is aligned to the lower edge of the region of interest (ROI). Select the lower limit button on the tube touchscreen (TUI): -TO *The end position is stored, and the icon is marked with a check mark. 5 Collimate the width of the region of interest. *Collimation in height will be adjusted automatically. Ensure the correct exposure factors are set for each required step in the ortho series at the Control Console. 2. With the patient maintaining positioning, press and hold the acquisition switch until all exposures are completed and tube returns to it’s original position.  Note: Releasing acquisition switch before all images are acquired will result in the interruption of the series. Exam will need to be repeated in its entirety. 3. Once series acquisition is complete, release the switch. Auto composing of the image then occurs. Select “Save” once completed to finish the process and save the composed image.
