Overlay Reference (VC21 – VD11) Job Aid Advanced Therapies – Artis Software VC21 to VD11. **There is an additional job aid availa- ble on PEPconnect to determine SW version of the system. Overlay Reference, a.k.a Fluoro Fade, Overlay Ref or Reference Overlay, allows user to overlay a reference image onto the LIVE fluoro image. The reference image can be created from a Store Fluoro, a DSA acquisition, a DR acquisition and can even contain post processing and graphics. Graphics WILL be displayed as part of the Overlay Reference. 1. Select an image and store as reference onto the Assist or Reference monitor. It does not matter which monitor is used. The active monitor, if it has an image displayed, will per- form Overlay Reference. To change to a specific monitor, use the REF/AS icon on the touch screen or in the control room in the Examination taskcard. REF AS Storing a reference image can be performed from the touch screen joystick middle mouse button at table side or the Store Reference icon on the touch screen. It can also be stored Store Reference icon from the control room in the Examination taskcard. Select the Overlay Ref icon from the touchscreen or the control room Examination taskcard. The icon will turn white with a green joystick symbol in the upper left corner. REFOS REFO This green symbol lets the user know that the joystick will control the fading function. If the green symbol is not displayed, Overlay Ref is still active, but the joystick does not con- trol the fading in and fading out of the overlay. User will now see the reference image displayed onto the LIVE fluoro im- age as an overlay. The overlay percentage on the LIVE fluoro image can be adjusted by using the joystick. By moving the joystick up and down, the overlay percentage can be faded in or faded out. The overlay can be adjusted while on or off fluoro. The overlay percentage number will display on the lower right corner of the Live image. If there are graphics displayed, the graphics are NOT affected by the overlay percentage. The graphics remain visible at all times until Overlay Ref is deactivated. Remember, the touch screen joystick controls the overlay image % only when the icon displays the green joystick symbol. See step 2.
