ACUSON P500 Teaching File Video

This video contains information on creating a teaching file using the ACUSON P500 ultrasound system.

You can create a teaching file with images from multiple studies into a single file. The system removes all patient identifying information from the images. First you must activate the exam with the images you wish to use. To create a teaching file from an active exam, press review. To create a teaching file from an ended and saved exam, press the browser button and double click on the patient name to open the exam. You can also double tap on the thumbnails to open the exam. Select the required images in the review screen of thumbnail panel. A box appears around the selected image. Tap or click on the teaching file softkey in the left panel. Enter a name for the teaching file and tap or click the new soft key. The system creates a new study with the selected images and adds the study to the patient browser. The teaching file will appear as a file that begins with TF with a series of numbers representing the year, month, day, and time the file was created. You can now export the images from the Deidentified teaching file. To add images to an existing teaching file, you must activate the exam that contains the images you wish to use to use images from an active exam, press review. To add images to a teaching file from an ended and saved exam, press the browser button and double click on the patient's name to open the exam. You can also double tap on the thumbnails to open the exam. Select the images to add to the study. In the review screen or thumbnail panel. Select teaching file on the left panel. Select the teaching file from the list displayed in the dialog box and tap append. To add images to the teaching file. To add images from a different study to the teaching file, open their required study, and then repeat steps used to append the study. The images will have the patient information removed, however the original date and time remains. You can now export the images from the Deidentified teaching file.
