ACUSON P500™ Ultrasound System Text, Body Marker, and Arrow Video

You can place text during Image Ng or in review by selecting the T button on the keyboard. Select the desired annotation on the touch screen. The text will appear on the screen. Next, position the small cursor over the text and press the set button located next to the touch pad that X turns green and now you can move the text to the desired location on the image. Press set again to anchor it in place. Backspace erases the last character you entered. Erase last word will erase the last text entered. Erase all text will erase all the text on the screen. The Acuson P 500 system has preset specific text you can add to an image to use this feature, simply press the T located on the bottom row of the keyboard. A list of terms available for your selected preset appears on the left side of the monitor. There are two methods to add text to the image. The first is to tap the desired term. The second is to use the keyboard. If you choose to use the keyboard, you may type the 1st letter of the label and then press enter to select the term. If you enter the 1st letter in lowercase, the term appears in lower case. If you enter the 1st letter in uppercase, the term appears in all capital letters. Press T and you will see multiple tabs and two buttons of terms to move between the tabs, Select tab number. Pressing the top buttons will replace the terms. You were also able to replace a term from one located in the list. Place the cursor at the beginning of the existing term and tap the desired term. To set the home position of the cursor, place the cursor in the desired location and select the set home position on the softkey menu. Once the home location is set, you can return to that location by pressing home position. Sometimes it's helpful to label structures on an image if this is the case, it is prudent to take a second image without the text. In this case, if you do not want to lose the labeling, simply pressing hide text on the softkey menu, replacing the text is as simple as pressing show text on the softkey menu. If you would like to move text on the image, simply place the cursor over the term and click the set button located next to the touchpad. The text turns green and you can now move the text via the touch pad to the desired location. Press set again to anchor the text. Moving between terms is as simple as pressing the select next button located at the top of the touchpad. To delete a line of text, align the cursor to the text for removal and select delete line on the softkey menu. If you simply want to delete the last word you typed, select the delete word. The cursor can be anywhere on the image and the last word you entered will be removed. Select clear screen on the touch screen or keyboard to remove all the terms. To turn off the text function, press the TA second time. If you want to customize your list of terms that appear on the left of the monitor, simply choose the desired terms on the text annotation page in the configuration pages. The tab called annotation library lists the terms that appear in the number tabs. Selecting enable autocomplete allows the system to display the term matching the first character. To add a term to the annotation library, select the term and click add. The term appears in the list located in the selected annotations box. To remove a term, click on the term and click remove. The term moves to the available annotations box. If you would like to add a term not listed, type the term into the box above the available annotations list and click add. You will notice an asterisks next to your term to change the term, click on the term, change the term in the textbox and click modify. You can place up to 64 terms in the available annotations box. Clicking the remove button will move the term into the available annotations box. The tab labeled text A contains terms in the soft key located in the upper left of the monitor. The tab labeled text be contains the terms. You can program to the next soft key. These soft keys allow you to cycle through a list of terms placed in the selected text, A or the selected text be list. Tapping the monitor soft key replaces the term select default to reset the list to the factory settings. Save to save the changes or cancel to cancel changes. If you wish the text to be removed when you return to real time imaging, you can set this on the Gen Two page of the configuration menu. If you do not wish to use the text function, you can type the desired text by using the keyboard. Simply begin typing the desired text. If you wish to place a body marker on the screen during Image Ng or in review, select the body marker button on the keyboard. The body marker list will appear for the current exam. Simply select the desired body marker. If you wish to change the displayed body marker, press the change body marker soft key located above the touch pad. This soft key allows you to move to the next available body marker. The transducer icon lies over the diagram and look somewhat like a lower case I. The dot should correspond to the transducer orientation or the A on the image. To move the body marker transducer icon, use the touch pad. Use the angle button or rotate soft key to rotate the transducer icon. Press set to anchor the body marker transducer icon. You can place different body markers on each side of a dual image. Press the body marker key and place the desired marker. Press the set button next to the touchpad. Then press the dual button above the touch pad to change the active side and place a second marker. Pressing the delete soft key or pressing the clear screen button on the keyboard removes the body marker. If you want to customize the body markers that appear on the left of the monitor, simply choose the desired graphic on the body marker page in the configuration pages. First select the exam you wish to add the body marker to to add a body marker to the available body markers list, select the graphic and click add. The body marker will appear in the list located in the selected body markers box. To remove, click on the body marker and click remove. The body marker moves to the available body markers box. You can save up to 64 body markers for each preset. Select default to reset the list to the factory settings save. To save the changes or cancel to cancel changes. If you wish to change the body marker location or have the system remove the body marker when you return to real time imaging, this can be selected on the Gen Two page in the configuration menu. To have the system remove the body marker when you returned alive imaging, check the delete body marker. On unfreeze box you can select the body marker location to be in the upper right or lower right of the image. You can place single or multiple arrows when image ingor in review to activate the arrow function, press the arrow on the keyboard. A green arrow appears on the monitor. Use the touch pad to move the arrow and the angle or rotate button to rotate the arrow. A new arrow can be added by pressing the arrow button or the new soft key. When you add an arrow, the previous arrow turns white, indicating it is set in place to change which arrow you can move, press the select arrow button above the touch pad. Once you have moved the arrow to the desired location, press set to anchor the arrow. Pressing delete removes the last arrow. Pressing delete again removes the next arrow. To remove all the arrows, simply tap the delete all soft key or press the clear screen button on the keyboard. To exit the arrow function and return to image Ng, Tap the touchpad or press the set button.
