Congratulations. You have completed the RAPIDPoint 500® Software Overview Online Training course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz. Identify Top Level Screens System software consists of four Top Level screens: Analysis, Status, Recall and Help. All screens include the Banner area which is located along the top of the interface and is always visible.  Icons in the banner area provide navigation and information for System Status, Cartridge Warning messages, Help, Results and System. The Analysis screen is the default view and appears upon logging into the system. The Analysis screen is used to run patient, QC, and AQC samples. Select a icon in the sample type area for the appropriate sample type for testing: arterial syringe or capillary, venous syringe, mixed venous or ampule, syringe or AQC.  Test parameters can be turned off individually at the time of testing if the Parameter Selection option is enabled in Setup. Custom panels also can be selected in Setup. Each set can contain up to 3 panels with a group of test parameters chosen for each panel. The barcode scanner symbol indicates that the barcode scanner can be used to enter data sample data. An image of the selected Sample Type indicates that the sample is ready for testing. The Start button is selected to initiate sample analysis. Use the Status Screen to view cartridge status and current event log messages and access submenus. The Cartridge Status area displays the cartridge number of samples analyzed, days remaining and expiration time and date. The Current Events Log displays current system messages. Use the submenus to perform cartridge replacement, sample port replacement, system shutdown and screen cleaning. You also can perform unscheduled calibration when this option is available. Submenus also provide access to system setup configuration features and other system information. Use the Continue button (right arrow) located in the lower right corner of the screen to navigate to a Top Level Screen. The Recall Screen is used to display patient, AQC or manual QC results, calibration status including diagnostic codes, event log entries, and results by parameter. The screen also provides options to copy patient or QC results to a USB memory stick and copy a Trace log file to upload for Cartridge Credit if a measurement cartridge fails prematurely. The Recall Screen also provides the ability to send files from the instrument by email if permitted by the hospital IT department. The Help screen provides access to the onboard reference guide, troubleshooting information and instructional videos that demonstrate how to perform routine tasks and analyze different sample types. Identify user interface icons and functions The user interface for the RAPIDPoint® Analyzer includes software symbols and buttons. Symbols and buttons both convey information; however, software buttons also are used to perform an operation. Refer to the RAPIDPoint® 500 Operator's Guide, Software Overview section for a complete list of symbols and buttons. Select Next to continue.
