Parameters selected for analysis display a check mark. A parameter with one or two lines through it is not available for analysis, for example, if calibration failed. Configured panels are located on the lower left of the screen and these may also be selected. The operator may deselect a parameter or panel, if needed.5Scan Patient ID  Integrated barcode scanner (pictured) External barcode scanner  Scan the patient ID bar code, if necessary, using the integrated bar code scanner on the front of the system. You may also use the external bar code scanner, if present. After entering the patient ID, the patient name, date of birth, and sex are entered automatically if they already exist on the system. 6Select the Start ButtonSelect the start button to begin the analysis. 7System Busy Message If a message informs you that the system is busy, select the STAT button If a STAT button is not present, you must wait for the system to be ready  A system busy message may display after selecting the start button. One example is when the system is performing a calibration. You may run the sample by selecting the Stat button on the screen. If, however, there is no stat button present, you must wait until the system is no longer busy and ready for analysis. 8Enter the Patient Demographics Data  Use the up and down arrows to view other screens in which to enter demographic data Select the white Continue arrow when completed You may enter the demographic data once the sample is analyzing. Use the up and down arrows to access all the demographics screens. Select the white continue arrow when completed. 9Remove Sample Device When the message "Remove syringe" or "Remove capillary" appears on the screen, remove the sample device Select the white Continue arrow When sampling is completed, the system prompts the operator to remove the syringe or capillary tube. If you have remaining sample, you have the option to debubble and recap the sample to retain for repeat analysis. Select the white continue arrow when completed.10Review Results Results are displayed in yellow when the analysis is in progress Results are displayed in black when the analysis is completed  Select the white Continue arrow when your review is completed   The results display on the screen in yellow when analysis is still in progress.
