RAX: Reducing OID on Table Exams

This job aid covers steps to follow to help reduce OID

RAX: Reducing OID on Table Exams XPRF To help reduce magnification on table (T) exams (such as Pelvis and Abdomen studies), it may be necessary to reduce the OID by moving the detector closer to the underside of the table. After positioning the patient as you normally would for the exam, use the Manual Up/Down movement button on the detector to move the detector closer to the table. NOTE: Manually moving the detector close to the table brings it into the collision zone of the table. Tube/Detector tracking may not be possible while the detector is in this position. Once the image is taken, it may be necessary to manually move the detector down out of the collision zone before proceeding to the next image.
