RAX Tube Tilt

This job aid will guide users through the steps for tilting the tube.

RAX: Tube Tilts for Cranial, Caudal and Oblique Views XPRF At the Remote-Control Console (RCC), Oblique Beam Angulation (1) for Cranial/Caudal views and RaxOrbit (2) for oblique C-arm views are performed by using the joystick and LED’s on the buttons above it. Typical starting position is in “Tube Tilt” Mode, used for Cranial/Caudal movement. The LED on the left most button will be Green. (1) (2) 1. With the Oblique Beam LED (1) selected (solid), pushing and holding the joystick to the left will angle the tube toward the feet, into a caudal position. Pushing and holding the joystick to the right will angle the tube toward the head, into a cranial position. 2. To move the tube for oblique C-arm views, push and hold the “C-Arm RaxOrbit” button on the right (2). The tube head will rotate in preparation for oblique imaging. Hold this button until the movement is complete, and the green LED light is solid over the button. NOTE: If the button is released early, the LED lights over both buttons will flash and rotation will not be possible. ,8 Unrestricted 0 Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 SIEMENS Master Template Effective Date: 3/5/2020 | HOOD05162003074494 Job Aid Effective Date: XX/XX/XXXX | HOOD/HILS Healthineers Job Aid | RAX: Tube Tilts Effective Date: 12/18/2020 | HOOD05162003156129 NOTE: Movements for oblique positions function best when the table is at its highest position. This allows faster movement of the detector around the table because of the decreased likelihood of moving through the collision zones of the floor and table. a. In this position, pushing and holding the joystick to the left will cause the tube to start moving into an RPO position. Angulation in this direction is limited by the tube and detector coming close to each other. b. Pushing and holding the joystick to the right will cause the tube to start moving into an LPO position. The tube will automatically stop when it reaches 90 de- grees. To go beyond this, release the joystick and re-engage.
