ACUSON Redwood Virtual Touch™ Technologies

This course provides an overview of the Virtual Touch™ technologies available on the ACUSON Redwood ultrasound system

Welcome to the ACUSON Redwood™ Ultrasound System Virtual Touch Elastography course.  People are living longer, which may present a risk of chronic disease and health management; consequently, the demand for early detection, diagnosis and timely treatment of chronic disease has become an ever-growing burden. Accessibility to an affordable, more portable ultrasound system offering a complete set of reliable elastography solutions with strong clinical validation is critical in managing disease conditions and rising healthcare costs around the world. Biopsies are invasive and can be painful, presenting a risk of hemorrhage or infection, whereas elastography is completely noninvasive. Manual compression elastography has been widely used for breast and thyroid lesions, and is still relevant today, as a highly sensitive indicator of relative tissue stiffness in focal lesions.  The introduction of Acoustic Radiation Force Imaging, or ARFI, and shear wave technologies allowed quantification and correlation with the progression of tissue stiffness. The Virtual Touch™ technologies elastography applications available on the ACUSON Redwood system offer fast, easy workflow with guided tools to optimize technique and quality indicators for measurement accuracy and reproducibility. This eLearning course provides you with relevant information to enhance and improve your knowledge of Virtual Touch technologies available on the ACUSON Redwood system.   Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to: Explain Virtual Touch technologies Demonstrate strain imaging controls and techniques Demonstrate 2D shear wave elastography controls and techniques in small parts applications Demonstrate point shear wave elastography controls and techniques in liver applications Congratulations.
