Respiratory Gating: Editing Syncs in the Trigger Card

Respiratory Gating: Editing Syncs in the Trigger Card step by step

Respiratory Gating: Editing Syncs in the Trigger Card Computed Tomography If the sync points on the Respiratory Gating breath wave are not ideal, they can be manually edited to help improve the outcome of the image data reconstruction. Respiratory Gating syncs can be moved, inserted, disabled, or deleted. 1. Respiratory Gating syncs can be MOVED if the sync is not in the desired location. This is useful when - as in the example below - a sync is near but not at the full inspiration peak of the breath wave.  Left mouse click the sync and drag it to the desired location on the breath wave.  The blue reconstruction bars will realign to coincide with the moved sync. Respiratory Gating syncs can be INSERTED when an inspiration or expiration sync is missing from a peak or valley of the breath wave, as in the example below.  Right mouse click at the location where a sync is to be added, and select Insert Inspiration Sync or Insert Expiration Sync as applicable. Respiratory Gating syncs can be DISABLED when the breathing pattern between syncs is not as regular as the surrounding breath wave. This is useful when - as in the example below - the patient coughs during the scan but the rest of the breathing pattern is acceptable.  Right mouse click at the location where a sync is to be disabled, and select Disable Sync. Respiratory Gating syncs can be DELETED when more than one inspiration or expiration sync is placed at a peak or valley of the breath wave.  Right mouse click at the location where a sync is to be deleted, and select Delete Sync.
