SC2000 Overview

This is a short video that provides an overview of the SC2000 ultrasound system.

I'm going to do an overview of your Acuson SC 2000 keyboard. The first button that you see here is your power button. This allows you to turn the system on and off. This next dial here allows you to control the keyboard brightness. The next control allows you to control the volume. For example, when you're doing Doppler. Your transmit power button is used if you're going to be using an enhancement agent. It allows you to adjust your mechanical index up or down. Your next button is going to be a man standing on top of a keyboard. This is where you would enter your patient information. The next set of dials will be your function keys. F1 is where you're going to access your report page. F2 is where you're going to access your patient browser. Your patient browser shows you all completed exams. F6 is where you would go if you needed to hide the patient demographics the patient's first and last name. If you need to adjust the size of your images screen, you would go to F8. F9 allows you to adjust your image from left to right. F-10 allows you to adjust your image from up and down, and F 13 allows you to access your ECG as well as your auxiliary physio module. Now I want to draw your attention to our home base. Our home base is laid out in two sections. If you look at the left side, this is where you're going to do all your grayscale image Ng you have your 2D imaging. You have your 4D imaging as well as your IMO. You also have the option to adjust your dynamic range as well as frequency. On the right side of the control panel is where you would have options to turn on your Doppler. You have color Doppler as your first. I'll post wave Doppler as the 2nd and then your third dial is continuous wave Doppler. You also can adjust your baseline an scale. As we move forward, this is where you would do capture your images. You can capture a still image as well as a moving image. We have the option to do what's called a read write zoom by clicking res and then you also can do traditional zone. This is where you would do your measurements, and this is where you would optimize your overall gain. In the middle is where we would have our trackball and next to the trackball is your select key as well as your next key. So we're going to cover 2D optimization controls. I'll call your attention to left sided user interface. Our first control is persistence, which is frame averaging. Holding one frame over before displaying for cardiac studies. We probably don't want to use much over three. The higher the number, the smoother the image will be. Tissue equalization is our one touch optimization for axial and lateral gains. You have three settings, manual, semi, dynamic and dynamic. DTE is dynamic tissue contrast enhancement. It's the system's ability to reduce specal and also smoothie image. I'll turn it off so you can see the effect, so this is no DTC E. And as I increase the amount you'll notice a reduction despeckle in an overall smoothing to the image. I'm now going to cover the left sided LCD menu starting with spacetime. Spacetime is a unique Siemens technology that lets us tell the system whether to concentrate on spatial or S settings for detail, resolution or temporal or T settings. Spatial settings of S2 will have the highest detail resolution, but also the lowest frame rate. T1 will offer you the highest frame rate of the system. Edge allows you to sharpen borders, so a higher setting will result in sharper Borders, while a negative setting will allow smooth borders. Delta is a unique Siemens technology to allow us. A balance between our tissue and our blood pool interface. Delta 0 has been optimized for all cardiac transducers. And now covering the right sided LCD menu. Maps are your post processing curves and they correspond to the alphabet where a will be your greyest image, and as I increase BCD. You will have more black and white or bistable imaging. Tents are colourization. And there are actually three different grayscale colorizations. 01 Three is a grayscale. As well as 11. On the lower left side of the system you'll find dynamic range. This might be called compression on another vendor, dynamic range will allow you to use more shades of Gray to build your image. Multi Hertz or frequency allows you to use a higher frequency for your more easily image patients or a lower frequency for those who are technically challenging. The image an arm on the lower left of the keyboard allows you to quickly optimize in every mode. For two D, you could go quickly between your general and penetration setting. In color you can optimize quickly for higher flow, lower flow hemodynamic situations. For Doppler. You could have settings. For areas of flow that are drastically different.
