Space/Time • Controls balances line density (resolution) and frame rate. Increasing the resolution, or line density, results in a slight decrease in frame rate. Increasing the frame rate results in a slight loss of line density. 2. Edge • Distinguishes the contours of an image by increasing the level of edge detection. 3. Delta • Takes two areas of like echogenicity and enhances the difference between them. 4. Capture Time ** • Rotate knob to easily change from capturing 1-30 beats for Prospective and 1-10 beats for Retrospective. • Rotate knob to easily change from capturing 1-30 seconds for Prospective and 1-10 seconds for Retrospective. 5. Maps • Select a post-processing curve to assign echo amplitudes to gray levels 6. Tint • Similar to B color with additional grayscale tints • Change the color of the image by adding colors to the gray in an image. 2.8 System Console Dynamic Range • Use the Dynamic range toggle to control the levels of gray in the image • Increase dynamic range to include more grays into your image. This will result in a softer look. Increasing dynamic range will add subtle information with minimal noise and more real data. • Decrease dynamic range for a more contrast look. Be cautious not to decrease your dynamic range too much as real information may be lost. • Use the highest setting as appropriate to the patient. • Dynamic Range and gain are used inversely. Increasing DR will require reduction in overall gain. MultiHz • Use the MultiHertz toggle to cycle through available frequencies • Toggle up to increase frequency, toggle down to decrease frequency. • Multiple imaging frequencies are available in 2D imaging including fundamental frequencies, native tissue harmonic frequencies and contrast imaging frequencies. • Example of Available frequencies on the 4V1c: LVO, H4.3, H4.0, H3.0, H2.25, 3.5. • Use higher frequencies for superior resolution. • Use lower frequencies for penetration. • Native tissue harmonic imaging frequency will be preceded by the letter H. The frequency range will be dependent upon the active transducer. 23 Turnover Workbook | SC2000 Live Dual Notes • Accessed via the Dual control on the control panel • Ability to display color and B-mode on separate sides • Separate Cine control for both sides • Update key in Live Dual • When frozen, the update key will allow you to toggle back and forth between the two images in order to access the cine buffer for each Zoom • Zoom is a read/write zoom feature. It is enlarging the image by increasing the size of the pixels • Activate Zoom by depressing Zoom knob • Rotate Zoom knob clockwise to enlarge image and counterclockwise to decrease image size • Used when in PW Doppler and want the image zoomed- renal arteries, carotids, valves • The image can be pan/zoomed by using the track ball while zoom is active. This is a post processing feature. Images can be enlarged when you are frozen, in cine or in review. • If other modes have been used while in zoom, you will push the zoom knob once to activate and then again to deactivate. While active, turn the knob to change the size. • Exit Zoom by depressing the Zoom knob twice. RES • Reformats image concentrating scanning elements into a smaller area of interest. RES • Increases image size of area of interest. • Increases frame rate. • Increases detail resolution. • RES enlarges the image by reformatting the picture while Zoom enlarges the size of the pixels Soft key functions • Four soft keys, context sensitive • Changes with mode or function • Functions appear on screen • Active (green) • Available (white) 800 • Unavailable (no light) 24 Turnover Workbook | SC2000 Image Knob Notes • Allows easy access to customized image presets • To access:press Image knob • Rotate to select desired preset • Note: Presets are specific to imaging modes. • Your Clinical Specialist will set up the settings under this knob.
