Scanning a Hemoglobin A1c Calibration Card Video

This video provides instructions on how to scan the calibration card for Hemoglobin A1c on your DCA Vantage® Analyzer, including an explanation of when it is necessary to scan the calibration cards.

Calibration is performed every time the calibration card is scanned. You must scan the lot specific calibration card for a lot of reagent cartridges before you can use that lot on the analyzer. The calibration card is included in the reagent cartridge kit box and only needs to be scanned once for that log. Scanning the calibration card automatically records the calibration and lot details into the analyzer. Locate the dot on the system next to the barcode track. Locate the barcode on the back of the calibration card. Hold the card so that the barcode faces to the right. Insert the calibration card into the top of the barcode track. Hold the calibration card gently against the right side of the track and smoothly slide the card down. A beep sounds to signal a successful scan if a beep does not sound repeat the scanning procedure. To return to the home screen, select OK.
