Sensis Vibe (VD12) Analytics Report Designer - Define Criteria Video

This video is Step 2 of 4 which demonstrates how to define the criteria for the report query within the Report Designer. The information presented in this video is applicable for the software version VD12 or higher.

Step 2 Define criteria allows you to define filters at each field level whether the report shall contain data from any value in the field or only certain values. For example, procedure equals TAVI. To define the criteria query filter of the type date, click on a field of this type in the source data table. The criteria setting panel displays the controls for the date field. To define the criteria query filter of the type text, click on a field of this type in the source data table. The criteria setting panel displays the controls for the textfield. A dropdown menu to select the operator. The checkbox labeled as include blanks to include records into the report containing blank values. The textbox to define the text in case matching is selected from the operator dropdown menu. The textbox is empty by default. The save and the cancel button. For example, to query a field for a certain text, select matching from the operator dropdown menu. The text box will be displayed. Enter the text you want to filter the field for or enter an* as a wild card. Only field data that contains the entered text will be included into the report. Click on the Save button to save the defined criteria, or click on the cancel button to reset the criteria. Setting panel back to the previous values of the text field. To define the criteria query filter of the type dictionary, click on a field of this type in the source data table. The criteria setting panel displays the controls for the dictionary field. The checkbox labeled as select all which is checked by default. The checkbox labeled as include blanks to include records containing blank values. The dictionary items list with all possible values for the field along with a checkbox next to each item. The save and the cancel button. Select a subset of the dictionary items to be used as matching criteria. Click on the Save button to save the defined criteria, or click on the cancel button to reset the criteria setting panel back to the previous values of the dictionary field. To define the criteria query filter of the type integer, click on a field of this type in the source data table. The criteria setting panel displays the controls for the integer field. A dropdown menu to select the operator two integer controls to enter values for certain operators, only one or both integer controls are visible. The save and the cancel button. For example, to query for an integer equal to a certain value, select less than or equal to from the operator dropdown menu, one integer control will be displayed.
