Stroke Evaluation in CT - Neuro Perfusion Virtual Classroom

This virtual instructor-led training is intended for clinical and imaging professionals interested in performing Neuro Perfusion examinations in CT. The prevalence and impact of stroke – a CVA, cerebral infarction, or brain attack – is discussed as the clinical indication for CT neuro perfusion examinations. The workflow of a comprehensive “CT Stroke Protocol” is described, including acquisition of a non-enhanced CT of the head, conventional and Adaptive 4D Spiral neuro perfusion approaches, and CT Angiography of the head and neck. Additionally, CT brain tumor perfusion will be discussed in the imaging of blood/brain barrier disruption. Finally, the importance of prudent scanning techniques and adherence to other key parameters will be reviewed in the consideration of dose reduction in CT neuro perfusion examinations.
