Please note that this Online Training module should not be seen as a replacement to onsite application training. This training serves as a preparation to your onsite applications training. Let’s get started. System Administration syngo Dynamics System Administration (SysAdmin) allows you to configure key settings. In this module you will be introduced to the new features and feature improvements of SysAdmin in VA40: Auto lock out Privileges Soft template check-in System Administration Auto lock out As a security enhancement, in VA40 you can configure a lock out for SysAdmin users for failed login attempts. As the System Administrator, you configure the threshold for consecutive failed login attempts within a configured timespan in the Local Security Policy. Here you configure the following settings: Account lockout threshold: number of failed login attempts. Reset account lockout counter: the time period in which the failed login attempts occur. Please consult with your facility’s Server Administration team for further information. Auto lock out Auto lock out: example Configuration in Local Security Settings: Account threshold: set to three Reset account lockout counter: 15 minutes In this example, a user will be locked out after three consecutive failed login attempts within 15 minutes. When the login attempt threshold is exceeded, the user receives a message to contact their System Administrator. Auto lock out: example Resolve auto lock out SysAdmin User: Reset the password for the user in Users. A successful log in will reset the failed login counter and time window. When you check in the templates, users that are currently logged in receive a message notifying them that new templates are available. Users can continue to review images, perform measurements and complete reports. The template can be updated as required, inline with their current workflow. The following slides demonstrate how to update the template depending on your current workflow status. Soft Template Check-in When a new study is opened, the updated report and worksheet templates are applied. Soft Template Check-in: Open at Study List Open at Study List Audio Filename: sd_va40_sysadmin_stc_01_open-study.mp3 Audio in Video: If there is no previous report for a study, the worksheet and report templates update when you open the study. Select the study from the study list. When you open the report and worksheet the templates are updated to the new templates. The word Updated is displayed here in the title for the purpose of this demonstration. Accept the message. You can continue to work uninterrupted. If you would like to use the updated templates, you can update them at a later time as your workflow allows. Audio Filename: sd_va40_sysadmin_stc_03_close-reopen.mp3 Audio in Video: If you would like to update the template for a study that was opened during the check-in, you must close and open the study. Closing and re-opening the study, updates the worksheet and the updated definitions in the Calc palette. The report template is not automatically updated. To update the report template to the new template, you must replace the report. Select Replace Report from the menu in the bottom left corner. Select the report that you would like to use as a replacement. A dialog appears. Select Change Template. The report template is updated to the selected template. Close/reopen the study When you close and re-open the study: The worksheet is updated. The definitions in the Calc Palette are updated. To update the report: You must replace the report. 3 When you open the report and/or worksheet, the updated Worksheet is displayed and the outdated Report is displayed. A message is shown to notify you that the templates have been updated. Templates are locked and are not editable. The study must be closed and reopened in order to edit templates.
