syngo Dynamics Overview

This web-based training will review the syngo Dynamics Workplace software, which improves the efficiency of clinical procedures in cardiovascular imaging, vascular ultrasound, general imaging, obstetrics and gynecology, and cardiac catheterization.  syngo Dynamics is a comprehensive multi-modality diagnostic image review and evidence-based reporting system incorporating Siemens experience in both clinical and administrative workflows. The solution focuses on dynamic image clip review and reporting for cardiovascular and other imaging modalities.  The training will focus on clinical applications.

Note: In certain configurations syngo dynamics can launch without a username and challenge based on your windows login.   syngo® Dynamics Training Overview syngo Dynamics Workplace Software improves the efficiency of clinical procedures in: cardiovascular imaging vascular ultrasound general imaging obstetrics and gynecology cardiac catheterization. The Study List is the first screen to display after logging in to the syngo Dynamics Workplace. Information such as associated patient name, patient ID, accession number, etc. is available. The study list always defaults to Today's studies. Selecting Search provides other options. To change departments, select the Studies From drop-down list and choose the desired department. If the Enterprise Priviledge is enabled, Enterprise can be selected and studies may be viewed from all departments Study information columns can be resized, hidden or moved. Syngo dynamics remembers the user's preference. Study list screen detail of unedited column placement  Column resized  Column Hidden  Column Moved To change a password for customers not utlizing Active Directory, click the key icon in the upper right hand corner.   The Change Password dialog box appears. To log out of Syngo Dynamics click the log out icon (1) in the upper right hand corner or click the "X" (2) to close the entire program. To mark a study as read, first highight the study (1). Under the Study menu, select Mark Study as Read (2).  A dialog box appears confirming you have marked that study (3).   To copy a study to CD/DVD, first insert blank media into the appropriate drive.  From the study list, highlight the desired study to be copied. Select the "Copies Studies To..." field on the bottom right of the screen and choose the appropropriate drive.   To review a Dicom CD/DVD from an outside source, place the CD/DVD in the appropriate drive. Select the Studies From (1) button then DICOMDIR file, then DICOMDIR choice (2). The studie(s) will be displayed on the worklist.     The work list is the list of patients that is displayed on the study list. This section will cover the functions that are commonly utilzed. For more detailed information, refer to the user manual.   If a large group of studies is returned, they can be reorderd by any of the shown critiera by clicking on the critera column heading. In this case the down arrow in the Study Date column heading illustrates that the study list has been ordered by date To open a study, double click on the patients name.   (1) Displays Study List layout. (2) Displays the Worklist with current study highlighted. (3) Marks a report as verified. If Reporting was not purchased or reports have not yet been installed in the department, the button will be labeled “Read” and can be used to mark a study as read. (4) Displays report layout; acts as a toggle button. If Soarian is the reporting tool, click this button to launch the Soarian patient record view with the selected patient context. (5) Displays the worksheet & report together. If Soarian Cardiology is the reporting solution, the syngo Dynamics worksheet opens on the left monitor and the Soarian Patient Record View opens on the right. (6) Displays worksheet layout; acts as a toggle button.  (7) Displays Tool Palette. (8) Displays prior studies, if they exist. Click the arrow to select a prior study. The folder icon will display the number of previous studies available for review. If Enterprise Search function is active, this icon will display the number of prior studies from configured departments and servers. (9) Enables the thumbnail browser that displays all images in a study in thumbnail size. Acts as a toggle. (10) Sends images into a placeholder on the report. For more information, refer to the syngo Dynamics Report Designer Manual specific to the software version installed at your hospital. (11) Displays image list layouts. Click the arrow to select an image layout from the list. (12) Enables a local user to change login password. (13) Logs the user out of the syngo Dynamics Workplace. (14) Minimizes, restores, or closes the application. (15) Toggles scroll lock on and off.     By selecting the Priors control button a list of prior studies will be displayed for a patient by order of date. The Image Layout button allows the user to choose how the images are displayed on the screen (1). It also allows for single or dual monitor display (2). Selecting the thumbs control will bring up a display of all of the images in the study. To scroll through images, you can use the up and down arrows on the keyboard or the slide bar on the upper right corner of the screen.   To magnify individual images, double click on the image.  Premagnified image Magnified image When syngo dynamics is presented with a stress echo it will automatically understand how to present the images.   To make offline measurements that are predefined, select the calcs tab on the tool pallette.  The default is basic 2 dimensional. The drop down allows you to select other criteria.   The syngo dynamaics Report System allows the user to create clinical reports. Clinical content and report layout is customizable to each hospital's requirements. Training for report design is offered to each site and controlled by the customer. To launch reporting, select the "ampersand" button between the report and worksheet buttons on the top of the screen. The reporting screen launches.  On the right of the screen the worksheet is shown. The report shows on the left which represents the content selected from the work sheet. While all reporting content is customizable, you'll note there are orange fields (1) on the worksheet. This denotes site-specific required fields. Some fields on the work sheet are for notations and don't automatically transfer to the report. For example on this page you can see that there is a message center (2) on the top of the worksheet where a message can be delivered to a physician that does not appear on the report. Reports are the final output. Information entered on the worksheet is collected on the report. Reports can also be manually edited.  NOTE: manually editing the report will break the phrase/observation link and could effect data mining in the future.  A popup message will appear.  It is strongly recommended to do all work on the Worksheet (right) side of the screen and not the report (left) side. Once a user is satisfied with the content of the report, click the verify button at the top of the screen for electronic signature. Once selected, a search critiera window will open. Here more detailed information can be entered to find a specific study. Provides tools for making measurements specific to each modality, adjusting brightness and contrast, and adding annotations to images. Provides a way to show and hide overlays. Can be accessed from the Tools button and is available whenever there are images displayed. Click the Tools button once to display the tool palette. Click it again to dismiss the palette.
