This job aid will guide the end user through the steps to reprocess RAD images.

syngo FLC: Reprocessing Rad Images FLUOROSPOT Compact (syngo FLC) For improvement of the image content, different filters for spatial frequency can be applied: • DiamondView Plus for adoption of the overall image content • Harmonization for reducing the image dynamics • Edge enhancement for sharpening as well as noise suppression DiamondView Plus DiamondView Plus is a special preprocessing process which is used for adaptation to the overall image content. Harmonization and edge enhancement are automatically adjusted, but can also be changed through manual entries. Basic adjustments of the parameters are made by service. Harmonization Process. Graphics Rad Harmonization is a method of image processing that emphasizes the detail contrast of small structures by contrast compensation of coarse Auto-cropping structures. Both the local frequency (size of the brightness/absorption Set black differences) and the degree of reduction can be set. Auto-window With the Gain you define the degree of reduction of the brightness Amplification 5.6 Auto differences: • Gain larger: more contrast compensation (lower dynamics) n. • Gain smaller: less contrast compensation • Gain = 0%: no contrast compensation 14INx17IN With the Kernel you define the extension of the reduced brightness Thorax pa differences: 1 Thorax pa - high contrast • Kernel larger: larger extended brightness differences are reduced Noise Reduction • Kernel smaller: smaller extended brightness Edge. Graphics Rad better display of edges or better noise suppression might be required. This is defined in the organ programs but can be changed Auto-cropping subsequently. Set black Auto-window In the Edge Enhancement area, you can change the following parameters: Amplification 5.6 Auto • With the Kernel you define the size of the details for edge enhancement / noise suppression: n. o Kernel smaller: finer o Kernel larger: coarser 14INx17IN With the Gain you define the degree of edge enhancement / Thorax pa • noise suppression: 1 Thorax pa - high contrast o Positive: higher contrast (drawback: more noise) Negative: less noise (drawback: edges blurred) Noise Reduction o Edge. Gain 0.00 : Please note: Since VF10C, special filtering settings are available for Kernel tube and line enhanced views of the image: Tube and Line 1 and Harm. Gain 0.00 : Tube and Line 2. These two modules use a special combination of harmonization and edge enhancement parameters to visualize tubes, Kerne 255 : catheters, and cables. Graphics Rad LUT). Depending on the organ, different LUTs are available for organ- ........................................... ‘ ‘ to- oriented display and are already stored in the predefined organ Auto-croppingi Set black programs. v Auto-window You can select another LUT in the organ program or edit the LUT on Amplification 2.00 - Auto the Rad subtask card in Postprocessing mode. Please note: LUT and window settings must be well balanced. Normally this is done automatically after acquisition by the Auto- window function. If the LUT has been changed manually, either a 14INx17IN repetition of the Auto-window must be performed or the window settings must be adjusted manually. 3 Setting the gradation curve (LUT) Click this icon. The gradation parameters are displayed. Click this icon. The Optimize Image window is displayed. Select the required View. 3. Change the Gradation Data parameters to your needs. 4. To reset changed values to the values before opening the dialog, click DEFAULT GRADATION PARAMETERS. The Histogram ROI parameters are displayed. 5. Click OK. Confirming reprocessing If every parameter matches your requirements: • Click the apply icon. All processing is done. After a few seconds, the processed image is displayed.
