syngo FLC Transfer Formats

This job aid covers the steps for transferring formats on the syngo FLC software.

syngo FLC: Transfer Formats FLUOROSPOT Compact (syngo FLC) Each of the various image formats for archiving/storage supports different image information. Therefore, depending on the selected format, not all image information might be stored, i.e., you don’t have the same state after restoring than before storage. • Private: The images are stored in a Siemens format. o Advantage: Full information including original data is transferred. o Disadvantage: This format is not compatible with other systems. • DICOM SC: Images are stored as DICOM Secondary Captures. o All image graphics are “burnt-in”. The image can be viewed in the current state on any capable system (WYSIWYG). o Series are converted to single images. o Not all image parameters are retained, e.g., no kV, mAs. • DICOM XRF: Images are stored in the DICOM XRF/XA format. o Series are stored as multiframes. o Image graphics and text are in the overlay plane. o Image parameters are retained. o DSA series are stored subtracted. • DICOM XRF Full: Like DICOM XRF but: o Series are non-processed multiframes, i.e., they can be postprocessed further. o DSA series are stored non-subtracted. • Processed: Option for DICOM XRF and DICOM XRF Full: o Images are ready processed, i.e., shutter, panning, and graphics will be “’burned” into pixel data. • DICOM CR: RAD images are stored in the DICOM CR/DX format. o All image graphics are “burnt-in”. o Image parameters are retained. • TIFF: Single images can be converted to the standard TIFF format (8 bits). AVI: Series can be converted to a movie in the AVI format (uncompressed). o Only pixel image with “burnt-in” graphics. o Reduced grayscale information (8 bits) Please note: Image header and pixel information is restricted to the DICOM standard. Especially when storing in the DICOM SC format, the following information will get lost: • in the image: kV, mAs • in the exam protocol: Dose area product (accumulated), Fluoro time (accumulated), Cu filter, and input format SIEMENS Unrestricted Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2021 Master Template Effective Date: 5 MAR 2020 | HOOD05162003074494 Healthineers Job Aid Effective Date: 06 I 22 I 2021 | HOOD05162003197809 Job Aid | syngo FLC: Transfer Formats Effective Date: 06| 22 | 2021 | HOOD05162003197809 The following image storage formats are supported by this system: Image format DFR RAD via CD / DVD / USB via network Private + + Yes No DICOM SC + Yes Yes - DICOM XRF + Yes Yes - CICOM XRF Full + Yes Yes - Processed + Yes Yes - DICOM CR + Yes Yes - TIFF, AVI + + Yes No Please note: Use only DICOM formats for image archival.
