syngo. Ultrasound Breast Analysis (sUSBA) Video

This video shows the syngo®. Ultrasound Breast Analysis features.

This is the basic introduction of the single ultrasound breast analysis software. To begin, let's review the user interface. First. Open a patient from the patient browser located in the upper left hand corner. In the menu navigation bar, all the volumes acquired for this patient are listed with the active volumes highlighted in blue. Now let's look at the various hanging layouts. Keep in mind the default can be customized to each physician's preference. To see an overview summary of all the volumes acquired for this patient, select the study overview hanging by clicking the icon to the left of the 3D ultrasound images. To quickly compare three volumes within one breast, left click on the icon located to the left of the breasts name right breast. This is the new laterality hanging layout. This layout was designed to help improve the reading workflow by enabling side by side review to quickly correlate findings between multiple volumes. Notice how easy it is to simultaneously visualize the pathology in each of the volumes. The first row of 3D hangings is dedicated for 3D images and consists of from left to right multislice. Corona side by side. Single slice. An ultrasound wide. The Corona side by side layout is used to easily evaluate symmetry between both breasts. An is the recommended layout to examine the unique Corona plane. The single slice layout shows the large coronal view next to the transverse and sagittal slices. The ultrasound wide layout. Demonstrates the large acquisition or transverse plane. The current prior hanging layouts are only visible when two or more Abe studies exist for the same patient. In the top menu bar, the number 2 next to the person icon indicates two studies for this patient. Left click on the icon to see the list of studies and dates. The study highlighted in blue is the active study to compare these two studies. Select a hanging layout from the 2nd row in the study navigator on the left. The hanging layouts are from left to right, Corona side by side. Transverse side by side. Horizontal side by side. And vertical side by side. Notice that the study on the left is the current and the study on the right is the prior with prior one in red. Let's review another patient that has two studies. To compare these two studies, select the horizontal hanging layout in the 2nd row of the study navigator. Notice that the study on the top is the current and the study on the bottom is the prior with prior one in red. The 3rd row contains the general comparison hangings. And consists of the one by two. Two by two and two by three layouts. These are used for displaying multi modality images, including ultrasound, mammography, MRI and CT. Select the two by three layout in the study navigator under the section images from other studies. Highlight and drag each mammography and ultrasound image across the ability to review images from other modalities on suspa. Enables physicians to see all studies on one monitor. There are dedicated menu tools to examine the volumes in each quadrant along with a number of keyboard shortcuts. First hovering the mouse over any of the corners in each quadrant will activate the menu tools. Selecting the reference point frees the mouse to move through the volumes easilly, for example from skin line to chest wall. As I'm doing here. Within the image I can also adjust the window level invert. And Zoom and pan. Notice when I select the zoom, how the icon indicated with two boxes for zoom changes to a crosshair for pan as they move to the center of the image. Scrolling allows me to quickly move through any of the Plains to find the area of interest I can click on the menu bar, select scrolling. And scroll through the Corona plane by moving the actual mouse. I can also scroll through the transverse and sagittal planes. Once I identify an area of interest, I can quickly go back to the menu bar, select the reference point. Place it in the area of interest an observe as all three planes line up simultaneously. To magnify the area of interest, select the magnify tool and left click and hold over the area of interest in any of the volumes. Use the scroll wheel on the mouse to adjust the magnification settings. To rotate around the area of interest, select the rotation tool. And notice that the mouse icon changes to indicate this left Click to allow free rotation around any axis. To rotate on the Z axis, go to the periphery of the image and left click and hold. To free the mouse again, select the reference point using the menu or shortcut tular. To change the projection parameters, simply hover over the menu tools in the lower left corner. Here I can choose men or Max IP an select the slice settings. I can use the slider bar to choose the slice thickness and slice overlap that I want and save it. The tools in the lower right corner are used to return to home or change the orientation of the view. In this particular study, I am currently looking at this Corona plane. I can click on the orientation an change it to the sagittal orientation, and then click back on orientation and change it back to the Corona orientation. Using the menu tools in the upper right corner, I can easily bookmark an area of interest by placing a location marker on it. Once the marker is placed, a window appears, allowing me to name this location marker finding and assign a birads category. To measure the lesion from the transverse and sagittal planes, I simply hover over the right upper menu tools again in the respective Quadrant select measurement. Watch the icon changes to a ruler. And simply place the start and end points. Once the measurement is complete, the measurement window appears, allowing me to add it to the current folder. This is also where I can add finding comments an interpreting physician's comments. I can take a snapshot of just the picture of interest by using the camera in the navigation bar on the left. Notice how the icon changes and I can add it to the finding folder. Or take a screen capture of the entire work area by selecting Alt S and adding that to the finding folder. Now that we've placed the location marker with measurements, let's review the navigation bar on the left. Under findings, I can see the finding folder. I created F1. If I select this all manual snapshots taken will be listed here as well as the auto created associated markings which include snapshots of each segment. Next, let's review the final report or worksheet by selecting the report icon in the navigation bar on the left. The report is instantly created. Any findings or measurements are auto populated along with the auto created screenshots. Notice how the body marker nicely displays all the information pertaining to the finding. For example, Clock position, distance to skin line and distance from nipple while viewing the report. I can easily zoom. Or change the font size. Printing defaults and review all of the pages containing the screenshots. The report will automatically be saved to the patients file as a secondary capture. Additionally, it can be printed or saved as a PDF. Finally, complete the study by selecting the check Mark icon in the navigation bar on the left. Select defer complete preliminary, complete or cancel. This concludes our basic introduction to the single ultrasound breast analysis software. Please refer to the user manual for additional detailed instructions.
