syngo.via - CT Body Perfusion Step by Step

syngo.via® CT Body Perfusion syngo.via CT Body Perfusion is designed to aid in the diagnostic evaluation of the perfusion of or- gans and tumors. The software can calculate blood flow, blood volume, mean transit time, and permeability of contrasted dynamic CT volume data sets. 1. From the Patient Worklist, load an appropriate data set into the CT Body Perfusion Work- flow: • If the examination has been correctly mapped, double click to load • If manual mapping is required, right-click the examination and select Open With > CT Body Perfusion 2. Body Perfusion results are auto-processed and can be viewed on the Perfusion Evaluation step. Information AF X 0.00S Results are already available and can be 1: Motion Correction i viewed in the Perfusion Evaluation Task. 2: Segmentation 3: Vessel Definition 4: Liver Definition OK 4: Results Preview 5: Results Perfusion Evaluation MM Reading 3. In the Perfusion Evaluation step, Circular or Freehand ROIs can be drawn to obtain addi- tional quantitative information about the body perfusion data set. Results are populated to the Statistics tab, which can be exported with a right mouse click. Reduce Noise • You can define a volume of interest (VOI) to evaluate a specific organ or volume only enable the Segment Organ icon. Segment Organ – • Click and drag the mouse pointer to define a contour, and double click to end the drawing. Draw • Scroll through the slices and create additional contours on other images. Images in between are interpolated automatically. • Click the Accept icon to finish drawing. Contours can then be edited if necessary with the tools on the mini toolbar. Accept • You can exclude structures, such as bone or air, by adjusting the values of the HU-based segmentation. min -50 HU • Enable the HU Segmentation icon. Segment max 150 HU • Enter desired values in the min or max HU fields and press Return. Vessel Definition: Click the Vessel Definition step when the segmentation results are satisfac- tory. • Check that the reference artery (red circle) and the vessels (purple overlay) are appropri- ately identified. These can be adjusted if the automatic identification is not as expected. • To define an artery manually:  Enable the Artery Definition icon. Artery  Click and drag an ROI in the desired artery.
