s yngo. via ® - MM Oncology The syngo.via MM Oncology workflow is designed to aid in the evaluation, diagnosis, and follow up of oncologic lesions in the body. Customizable layouts and tools help facilitate fast, efficient, and effective reading of complex oncology cases, including those with multiple lesions, multiple phases, and/or multiple time points. 1. From the Patient Worklist, load an appropriate data set into the MM Oncology workflow: • If the examination has been correctly mapped, double click to load. • If manual mapping is required, right-click the examination and select Open With > MM Oncology. 2. The MM Oncology workflow is designed to pre-fetch prior/archived examinations across multiple modalities and arranges them in configurable layouts for both single- and two- monitor viewing. An automatic rigid registration synchronizes navigation across images and datasets, but manual alignment is also possible. 3. RECIST (Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors) is a published standard by which a patient ųs therapy response is defined as having improved, remained stable, or worsened. MM Oncology supports both RECIST 1.0 and the updated RECIST 1.1. Dedicated algorithms are available for the segmentation of lung lesions, liver lesions, lymph nodes or generic lesions. Select the appropriate icon and drag a line across the longest diameter of the lesion in 3D, or click directly into the center of the lesion if it is small. Tools are available for manual editing of the segmentation if necessary. Tumor diameters and volumes are calculated and populated to the Findings Navigator. For the dedicated evaluation of lung lesions, MM Oncology provides a Lung CAD (computer- aided detection) tool as a second reader to help expedite reading workflow and improve diagnostic confidence.
