syngo.via View&GO: Tool Gallery Job Aid XPRF This document introduces an overview of the tools available with syngo.via View&GO. Find below the various tools to customize your workstation. Tool Gallery The Tool Gallery contains all available tools for use within the syngo.via View&Go software. An image segment is active once you click it. It is then framed in blue. Basic Interactions Zoom/Pan – Zooms and pans continuously with the mouse Alt key + left mouse button Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: Z Scroll – Activates the left mouse button for scrolling Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: I Rotate – Used to rotate both 2D and 3D volume images. To find the anatomical orientation of the desired image, look at the orientation cube on the right side of the image segment. Additionally, images can be rotated with the Alt key + right mouse button. Movie – Scrolls automatically through series, 3D volumes, or data groups Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: Spacebar Visual Alignment – Allows you to manually align fused base series and overlay series to match them as closely as possible. Available when MPR/MPR has been active. Display Types 2D – Displays 2D images. This function is a combination of the loaded images in a volume used to calculate cuts in any orientation through the region of interest. *The thickness of the cut/slice is one voxel Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: 2 MPR Thick – Displays MPR Thick images (Multiplanar Reconstruction with individually defined slice thinkness). *Slice thickness can be set and is based on the anatomy imaged (thinner slices offer more detail, thicker slices yield less information/detail). Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: 3 MPR/MPR – Displays fused MPR images used to align two series (typically an anatomy and a physiological series). A change in ratio of the base image and the overlay image, allows the user to fade in one image and fade out the other. MIP – Displays MIP images (Maximum Intensity Projection, creates a maximum intensity projection from the images of a 3D Series). Used to display images with contrast medium. The entire volume is displayed. Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: 4 MIP Thin – Displays MIP Thin images. MIP Thin uses one slab/slice of the volume to calculate the projection (slab thickness can be defined). Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: 5 MinIP Thin – Displays MinIP Thin images. Minium Intensity (low density) Projection uses one slab of the volume to create a minimum inensity projection from the images of a 3D series. Volume Rendering Technique is used to display different tissue types, for example bone and blood vessels. Displaying a semi-transparent 3D view image. *Used to differientiate between organs and tissues structures and for colored/3-dimensional display of bone, tissues, and organs. Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: 7 VRT Thin – Displays VRT Thin images. VRT Thin uses one slab of a volume to calculate the volume rendering (slab thickness can be defined). Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: 8 Measurements Distance Line – Measures the length of a line. Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images With Distance Line Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turn the display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: D Distance Polyline – Measures the lengths of connected lines. Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images. With Poly Line Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turn the display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. Angle – Measures an angle between two lines. Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images. Pixel Lens – Determines the pixel value at a current position of a pixel or a voxel. Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images. With Pixel Lens Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify the size of the pixel lens. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images. With ROI Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turn the display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. ROI (Region Of Interest) Freehand – Evaluates statistical values for a freely drawn region. Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images (Fusion). With ROI Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turnthe display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. ROI (Region Of Interest) Polygonal – Evaluates statistical values for a polygonal region Available for 2D, MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images With ROI Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turn the display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. VOI (Volume Of Interest) Sphere – Evaluates statistical values for a spherical or an ellipsoidal volume. Available for MPR, MPR Thick, MIP Thin, MinIP Thin, and MPR/MPR images (fusion). With VOI Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turn the display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. VOI (Volume Of Interest) Freehand – Evaluates statistical values for a volume you have defined drawing freehand contours. Available for MPR, MPR thick, MIP Thin, or MinIP Thin images. With VOI Properties (right-click the icon), you can specify to turn the display of evaluation results on or off. It can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. Distance WHO (Assisted Perpendicular) – Allows you to draw perpendicular distance lines to perform diameter measurements and thus, to evaluate lesions. Switches to the dedicated layout for the Lung CAD series. If required, the calculation of Lung CAD the Lung CAD series is started for the selected series. Series ROI HU Threshold – Evaluate a region of interest defined by a contour and two thresholds. Press and hold left mouse button to create region of interest. ROI HU Release button to finish creation. Adapt intensity thresholds to further Threshold restrict evaluated area. DE ROI – Evaluate a circular or elliptical area in fused data sets. Allows you to create a circle by clicking and dragging the mouse pointer. To create an DE RO ellipse, first press the Shift key. Solid Lesion – Lung Lesion Segmentation. Allows you to start the segmentation by: Solid a) Drawing a stroke that indicates the LONGEST diameter of the lesion Lesion in 3D. or – - b) Clicking into the center of the lesion, if the lesion is small. To get the solid nodule component, use this tool. Subsolid Lesion – Lung Lesion Segmentation. Allows you to start the segmentation by: SubSolid a) Drawing a stroke that indicates the LONGEST diameter of the lesion Lesion in 3D. or – - b) Clicking into the center of the lesion, if the lesion is small. To get the solid and the subsolid component, use this tool. Annotations -it Marker – Marks a position onto an image and allows text annotations. T Text – Allows text annotations. Ranges Parallel Ranges – Allows you to define parallel slices of the volume for reconstruction. Radial Ranges – Allows you to define radial views of the volume for reconstruction. Radial Sliced Ranges – Allows you to define slices of the volume for reconstruction that are arranged around a pivot. Curved Ranges – Allows you to define parallel curved slices of the volume for reconstruction. Spine Ranges – Allows you to define slices perpendicular to spinal cord. Vascular Ranges – Allows you to create series of images around or along the CPR. Fit to Acquisition Size – Displays the selected images in their original resolution (acquisition size). All objects drawn on images (ROIs, graphic objects, etc.) with Fit to Acquisition selected are displayed in an optimal way. Hide Graphics – Use this icon to show or hide graphical objects. Hide Lines – Use this icon to show or hide reference lines. Full Text – Toggles between full or customized image text or hides the F image text. Custom Text – Use this icon to configure Custom Text, access the Configuration Panel. Lock Reference Lines – Allows you to lock and unlock the 90 degree orientation of reference lines in a orthogonally synchronized segment. 3D Reference Point – Allows you to navigate quickly to the same coordinates of a patient in different series and views of series. To define a pathology as new center within a segment, press the Alt key while clicking it. R Flip Vertical – Flips images up or down, to reverse the flip select the icon a second time. ----- Show Vessel – Displays or hides the defined vessels in all image segments. O Windowing Windowing – Utilized to adjust the width and center values of the image(s). To adjust the displayed windowing values interactively in the images, double-click it and enter a value. Reset Windowing – Once selected this function resets the windowing values for both the window width and center back to the initial values. Available for VRT, MPR and MPR thick images. Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: X Anatomy Visualizer – Allows you to use several masking layers to show or hide the masked structures. Available for VRT, MIP, MPR and MPR thick images Punch Tool - You can remove the structures outside or inside a marked area of a VRT or MIP image. This tool is helpful to remove areas of the volume which would obstruct the visibility of the ROI. Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: P To use the Punch tool follow these steps: • Position the image plane as desired. To activate the Punch tool, press the P key or select the tool from the top left Corner Menu. The mini toolbar is displayed: Remove Inside Remove Outside Undo Redo Auto Punch Reset • Select the region to be removed from the mini toolbar; inside or outside the punch contour. • A freehand punch contour can be drawn by clicking and dragging the mouse. Click and hold the left mouse button to draw the contour around the volume of interest, double-click to end. • A polygonal punch contour can be drawn. Click the desired vertices, double-click to complete the contour. • When Auto is active on the mini toolbar, the punch is automatically performed as soon as you complete the contour. • When Auto is deactivated, click Punch on the mini toolbar. With Clip Box Graphics, the clip box graphics can be turned on or off. It can be accessed by right-clicking the icon. Clip Plane – Hides the volume behind a cutting plane. With Show Clip Plane Graphics, the clip plane graphics can be turned on or off. This can be activated by right-clicking the icon. Clip Plane Slab – Only shows the volume inside a slab With Slab Thickness, the initial slab thickness can be changed, and with Change Orientation, the clip plane orientation can be changed. They can be accessed by clicking the settings icon. Remove Table – Allows you to remove irrelevant structures resulting from patient tables or head holders. Available for VRT and MIP images. Edit Bones – Allows you to refine bone removal algorithm results. You can mask out bone structures or display non-bone structures again. Available for VRT and MIP images. Neuro DSA – Bone Removal based on an additional non-enhanced CT scan. Neuro DSA creates a bone removed data set from CT Angiography data. Bone Removal is based on a bone mask from an additional non- Neuro enhanced CT scan. DSA Coronary Tree – Allows you to isolate the coronary arteries and the ascending aorta in a CT cardiac series. Isolate Heart – Removes surrounding tissue to isolate the heart in a CT cardiac series. An algorithm is automatically applied. Available for VRT and MIP images. Bone Removal Print & Export Snapshot – Creates a snapshot of an image segment. In the resolution of the displayed segment, the snapshot is displayed in the Series panel. To open snapshots, you can double-click the corresponding result. Layout Snapshot – Creates a snapshot of all image segments. In the resolution of the displayed segment, the snapshot is displayed in the Series panel. To open snapshots, you can double-click the corresponding result. Print Image – Allows you to send the currently selected image to the film sheet. Keyboard shortcuts when image segment is active: E or numpad Enter Print Stack – Allows you to send all images of a stack to the film sheet. Keyboard shortcut when image segment is active: A Save as Series – Creates and saves a new series out of the data currently displayed in the image segment. Save as Series The new series is displayed in the Series panel and is indicated by this icon next to the series name. When you click this tool, the Export dialog box opens in which you make the required settings for the export. Here, you can specify the target location for the exported data as Export to Network or Export to File System. Export Stack – Export all images of a stack. When you click this tool, the Export dialog box opens in which you make the required settings for the export. Here, you can specify the target location for the exported data as Export to Network or Export to File System. Copy Image – Copy an image to the Windows clipboard. Copy Layout – Copy a layout to the Windows clipboard. Copies the visible layout of one or more monitors to the clipboard. In multi- monitor setup, press and hold the Ctrl key and click a segment on the desired monitor to select. JPG Export non-DICOM – Exporting data in non-DICOM format. Additionally, you can export images and movies in non-DICOM image formats to display them in common viewers and media players. Supported file formats are: • jpg, bmp, png, tiff • avi, wmf These images and movies are only intended for presentation purposes. Postprocessing 3D Show in 3D – Use to switch to a layout with 3D reference lines. TC-Snapshot – Saves Time Curve result. The system creates a series containing the results of the Time Curve evaluation. TC- Snapshot O TC-Circle – Measures the signal intensity for a selected region of interest. Endoscop View – Activates Endoscopic View Mode. Allows you to virtually navigate through hollow and fluid filled anatomical Endosco structures. View Osteo – Osteo Result Osteo Define Vessels – Activates the vessel definition mode to segment vessels in CT and MR series. The tool allows you to display vessels in curved views and evaluate the vessels accordingly (for example, measuring vessel diameter or vessel length).
