Upon successful completion of this training, you will know more about:  the new interface for creation of Contouring Templates the improvements for the Contouring Tools the changes in the Patient marking Interface Congratulations. You have completed the syngo.via VB40 Delta Online Training for Radiation Oncology. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz. Select the link below to view and/or print your review material before proceeding to the final quiz. Download and print a copy of the Course Review. Changes in Patient marking Interface User interface update: Laser Offset in IEC and Table, Laser ON/OFF, Laser Zero, Mark Patient and Breast are now directly included in the workflow steps. Isocenter placement into a structure:  Besides the option to Move POI to Center of Structure there is now a second option to Move POI to Bounding Box Center of Structure. Automated Isocenter of the breast: New workflow has been implemented. It automatically creates the contour of the breast and put the isocenter (POI) in the bounding box center of a structure.   New Interface for creation of contouring Templates AutoContouring based on Deep Learning supports additional organs. New Organ Database: The organs are now organized into organ groups.  Within the groups, you can select organs contoured most frequently and add them to Favorites. Organs that can be automatically contoured by the system will show AutoContour. You can create new organs and add them to the desired organ group. All structures can be renamed. RT Structure Template Configuration used as well for Zero-click AutoContouring/ Rapid Results Technology has been moved to the Configuration Panel > Advanced Visualization. RT Structure Template Creation: To create a new template: Click on Add template Highlight organ(s) in the Organ Database via shift or control keys Click on the arrow to move them into your template Define a template name and add remarks if desired Click on Save RT Structure Template modification: You can modify existing templates by choosing Save as, Edit template or Delete template on the RT Structure template configuration page. RT Structure Template auto tasking rules: To use an AutoContouring template with Rapid Results, you must set up Auto Tasking rules. Several Auto Tasking Triggers can be chosen. Open your structure template by using Edit Template Go to Auto Tasking Press the Add rule button Choose your Auto Tasking Trigger and Save After the configurations are done, press Apply and restart the application Set up rapid results rules in syngo.via and on the scanner Rapid Result configuration for RT structure templates: In syngo.via: Go to Configuration Panel > Advanced Visualization > Rapid Results Technology Select the RT AutoContouring in the Configured Results Select the Properties Based on the desired need (AutoContouring/ fixed template) If necessary: add more rules from the Results list by using the arrow to the Configured list and repeat step 3. Press Apply. At the CT scanner: Open the scan protocol assistant to refresh the new available data role and assign the created rule to the dedicated recon job in the scan protocol. Select Save.   Improvements for Contouring Tools Nudge Tool: Any islands within a drawn contour will be deleted automatically, if the Fill In box is checked Interpolation function: Contours appear as dotted lines if they are automatically created and interpolated by the system. You must review them and right-click to Accept All. Creation of new structures with 3D Margin and Cropping: You can now overwrite existing structures by putting the same name in the yellow marked area. Beam Placement: Auto Shape allows you to create an additional margin for the excluded structure in addition to the structure margin. With RTiS VB40, we now offer a second option to Move POI to Bounding Box Center of Structure. In the relocated Organ Database, the organs are now organized into organ groups.  Within the groups, you can select frequently contoured organs and add them to Favorites. Organs that can be automatically contoured by the system will show AutoContour. New organs can be created and added to the desired organ group, and all structures can be renamed. To create a new: Click on the Add Template button and the template creation area will open. Highlight single or multiple organs in the Organ Database by using the Shift or Control key on the keyboard. Click on the arrow to move them into your template. Just in case you need to delete and structure from the template, just use the Delete Row button. User can define a template name and add remarks if desired. After the modification click on Save to save the template or click Cancel to disregard.    Welcome to the syngo.via VB40 delta online training.   In this training you will learn about new features and feature improvements of the syngo.via VB40 software version that covers Radiation Oncology. Patient marking with MM RT Image suite is possible since VB20. With the newest version, the user interface has been updated and now includes the following features directly in the workflow steps: Laser Offset in IEC and Table Laser ON/OFF Laser Zero Mark Patient Breast  The Laser Offset can be displayed in mm or cm; this can be changed in the Laser configuration panel of MM RT Image suite. In addition to the new user interface, the Automated Isocenter of the Breast - Workflow has been implemented.   The new Automated Isocenter of the Breast helps improve the workflow of breast contouring and POI placement. As soon as the AutoContouring finds the breast, the Isocenter is placed in the center of the mass of the breast contouring. A dataset with a female breast case is loaded into the MM RT Image suite. In Patient Marking you select the button for Breast Left or Breast Right. The system automatically creates and contours the corresponding structure and creates an Isocenter POI in the bounding box center of this structure. This POI can be directly sent to the laser system or the POI can manually be moved before. Contouring Organs at Risk (OAR) can be a time-consuming task in the Radiation Therapy Planning workflow. With syngo.via RT Image Suite VB40, Deep Learning AutoContouring supports additional organs. Configuration of the templates used with Zero-click AutoContouring/Rapid Results Technology has been moved to the Configuration Panel > Advanced Visualization. After clicking Save, the RT Structure Template Configuration page is displayed. Here, additional options are available. Save as allows the user to open an existing template, make changes and save it as a new template. Edit template allows the user to open and edit an existing template. Delete template allows you to delete a template. To use an AutoContouring template with Rapid Results, Auto Tasking rules need to be set up. Several Auto Tasking Triggers can be chosen. To setup the rules: Open your structure template by using Edit Template. Go to Auto Tasking. Press the Add Rule button. Choose your Auto Tasking Trigger and Save. After the configurations are done, press Apply and restart the application. Now you need to set up the rapid results rules in syngo.via and on the scanner side. After you have done all your configuration and set up the trigger rules in the structure template, you need to set up the rapid results in syngo.via and on the scanner: In syngo.via, go to the Configuration Panel to the Advanced Visualization and select the Rapid Results Technology. In the Configured Results select the RT AutoContouring. In the lower part select the Properties based on the desired needs: AutoContouring according to the Template definition in RT Image suite works → based on the DICOM tag defined in the trigger rule and patient needs to come from the OIS or RIS via worklist to the scanner. Use fixed template → select the template you would like to use for this rapid results rule. If more than one rule is needed add them from the Results list by using the arrow to the Configured list and repeat step 3. Press Apply and now start the configuration from the CT scanner side. Open the Scan Protocol Assistant to refresh the new available data role and assign the created rule to the dedicated recon job in the scan protocol and save it.   The Nudge Tool now includes a Fill In functionality. In previous versions of RTiS it was possible that small “islands” would be created inside a drawn contour. These islands would need to be deleted manually. Now, if the Fill In box is checked, any islands within a drawn contour will be deleted automatically.   In syngo.via VB40 RT image Suite, any contours that are automatically created and interpolated by the system appear as dotted lines. The user must review these contours and right-click to Accept All.   Previously, when using 3D Margin and Cropping, existing structures could not be overwritten and had to be deleted.  Now, the structure can be overwritten by putting the same name in the yellow marked area.   When using Beam Placement, Auto Shape allows the user to create an additional margin for the excluded structure in addition to the structure margin. In syngo.via VB40, there are several improvements regarding Contouring Tools: Nudge Tool Interpolation function Creation of new structures with 3D Margin and Cropping  Beam Placement Learn more about them on the following pages.
