Cleaning the Filters Video

One of the items included in monthly maintenance is cleaning the filters on the Sysmex CS 5100 system. There are two filters on the system, one on the left side and one on the right side of the main unit, both of which require monthly cleaning. Remove the left filter by lifting the light shield lid. Locate the left filter on the left looking for the word push. Remove the filter by pressing down on the word. Push. The filter lock will release and the filter can be lifted from the Holder with a vacuum cleaner or similar tool. Remove dust from the filter. Do not use water to wash the filters. Reinstall the filter and press down until it locks into place. Finally, close the light shield lid. Now that we've cleaned the left filter, let's remove and clean the right filter. The right filter is located on the right exterior side of the main unit. To remove, push the top of the filter cover. The cover will open. Remove the filter cover by tilting the cover away from the main unit. Push the tab back to release the filter Mount. Use a vacuum cleaner or similar tool to remove dust from the filter. Reinstall the filter to the filter Mount and filter cover. You can now document monthly maintenance.
