The Value of PET CT in Radiation Therapy

PET/CT and Radiation Therapy Planning work very closely together and a lot of what is found in the diagnostic process can affect what happens in therapeutic process. In this pre-recorded session, the speaker describes how PET/CT imaging can improve clinical staging and how it affects radiation planning in lung and head and neck cancers. He also describes advanced radiation therapy planning techniques as well as reviews practical considerations, such as patient positioning, instructions, and immobilization in PET/CT imaging based radiotherapy planning. Lastly, techniques for PET/CT based target delineation will be presented
