Thrombophilia and VTE in Pregnancy - Webinar

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a major cause of maternal morbidity during pregnancy and the postpartum period. In women with known thrombophilia with and without prior VTE, the decision of pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis during pregnancy and postpartum depends on the underlying thrombophilic defect, considering a positive family history of VTE as well as additional VTE risk factors and the woman’s preference.
